The Gambia Supreme Islamic Council (GSIC) is the highest Islamic authority in The Gambia, established in 1992 to promote unity, protect Islamic values, and coordinate Muslim affairs nationwide. It provides religious, educational, and cultural resources to the Gambian Muslim community and is recognized by the government as the official voice of Gambian Muslims. The organization oversees mosques, offers counselling and conflict resolution services to its members, and engages in advocacy efforts both within The Gambia and internationally. It is governed by an Advisory Council and an Executive Committee, with additional regional, municipal, and specialized internal committees. The GSIC also operates an information portal, publishes reports and press releases, and runs Al-Falaah FM Radio.
