The service provided by Growing Well is average. Although they delivered the products on time, I expected a bit more in terms of quality. The plants that I received were not as healthy as I had hoped. The website was easy to navigate and the ordering process was smooth. However, the overall experience was just average.

About Growing well

Growing Well is a mental health charity and organic fruit & veg farm and training centre on Growing Well…

Growing Well: A Mental Health Charity and Organic Farm

Growing Well is a unique organization that combines two seemingly unrelated fields - mental health and organic farming. This charity is dedicated to promoting mental well-being through the cultivation of organic fruits and vegetables, as well as providing training opportunities for individuals who are interested in learning more about sustainable agriculture.

At Growing Well, we believe that there is a strong connection between what we eat and how we feel. By growing our own food using organic methods, we are not only nourishing our bodies with healthy nutrients but also supporting the environment by reducing our carbon footprint. Our farm produces a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, including apples, pears, plums, raspberries, strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini and much more.

In addition to growing fresh produce for local markets and restaurants in the area surrounding Kendal in Cumbria UK , Growing Well also provides training opportunities for individuals who are interested in learning more about sustainable agriculture. Our training centre offers courses on topics such as soil management techniques; crop rotation strategies; pest control methods; composting practices; irrigation systems design & installation etc.

But what sets us apart from other farms is our focus on mental health. We recognize that many people struggle with anxiety or depression due to various reasons such as financial stressors or social isolation which can lead to poor eating habits or unhealthy coping mechanisms like alcoholism or drug addiction . That's why at Growing Well we offer therapeutic horticulture sessions where participants can engage in gardening activities while receiving support from trained therapists who help them develop coping skills & resilience strategies.

Our team of experienced therapists works closely with participants to create personalized treatment plans tailored specifically towards their needs. We use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) & Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) among others which have been proven effective in treating mental health conditions.

At Growing Well, we believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality mental health care regardless of their financial situation. That's why we offer our services on a sliding scale basis so that everyone can afford to get the help they need. We also accept referrals from healthcare professionals and community organizations who recognize the value of our unique approach to mental health care.

In conclusion, Growing Well is a one-of-a-kind organization that combines sustainable agriculture with mental health care. Our mission is to promote well-being by providing fresh organic produce and therapeutic horticulture sessions while also offering training opportunities for individuals interested in learning more about sustainable agriculture practices. We are committed to making a positive impact on the environment and helping people live healthier, happier lives.
