The owner of the place is disrespectful and if I were you I would not even have a friend make a wedding there or a party. Very very bad place the workers are good but the owner is a bad owner

Unfortunately, the most awful awful AWFUL food ever. On the occasion of catering the event of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral---with 600 people from all the Greek communities of Brooklyn---the Grand Prospect Hall had the chance to shine---and win over the Greek clientele the owners complain doesnt support themll. Well, you blew it!!!! This catering establishment PERSISTS in serving horrible inedible (and I mean inedible) food, and charges an arm and a leg for it. I dont know how it stays in business. I cannot understand why the food just cant be made...good?! CALL GORDON RAMSAY, for crying out loud! Kathy Economos, MD

The Event attended was City Of God's Halloween Masquerade Ball with 4 floors of dance halls and a Grand Ballroom which was a sight to see with Victorian styled motif throughout the building, with a interesting mix of music & exceptional DJ's & a live band playing in 7 different zones throughout the venue each with it's individual feel & flair it's hand's down the best Event I have seen to date! The costumes were amazing people went the extra mile for this event it was very impressive to behold! It was simply awesome!

Always a unique experience. Beautiful main hall, inexplicably decorated side rooms.

My stepson wedding (Mateo - November Wedding) Bridal Party suite was great, Cocktail hour very good, Decoration of the place exquisite; the waiters and bar tenders were awesome... but, Dinner was not properly cooked, and was served cold! some our guests complaint about having upset stomach.
Be very careful.. we had a bit of misunderstanding when tipping the staff; they were Not tips! until we found out and then the issue was resolved! we should had personally give our tips individually instead of given the aptain the envelope.. Live and Learn!!.. One more detail.. we paid for a hour Violin and this Never Happened.. Be careful when booking anything in this place.. You might be dissapointed

NYE event.
Place is great, but they don t k know how to handle the costs.
some people got hurt, as the stuff did not manage the crowd. People were pushing and skipping the queue, other people getting hungry.

The food is absolutely disgusting the place is just horrible

I called 2 mins ago to inquire for my mom 55th birthday party and the gentleman was very rude and had alot of sacarsm. I inquire about april 8pm he is going to ask me why so late i should start 6 or 7pm then he ask how many guest i said about 130 ppl he said to much why not 50 or 60. Who do you think you are. Bad for business. Smdh

Visited for a fundraiser for Puerto Rico. Very lovely ballroom.

Beautiful room with grand chandeliers and space. Staff was attentive and food was good.

Shabby to say the least. Went to Golden Balkan Fest. What an experience.

Nice decor, friendly staff, valet parking, salmon was great, veggies fresh, steak sucks. They claim it was prime rib. No its not. And they don't know how to cook to order either. Had steak sent back twice and they didn't get it right....not only that the gravy was out of a can. It was nasty.only the chicken and the salmon are worth eating...

It was a beautiful. Place for our Workshop we had Primerica Millionaires telling us how they made it with Primerica. It was Awesome

VERY BEAUTIFUL PLACE..!! VERY GREAT SERVICES. STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY. THERE'S A PLACE WHERE THEY CAN HOLD STROLLERS & YOUR COATS..!! I REALLY LIKE IT HERE. FIRST TIME BEING THERE AND I WOULD GO BACK.

Another review wrote something along the lines of, "where bad taste goes to die." They're right. This place could be beautiful but the combination of colors is just a sensory overload in the main ballroom. They don't allow in outside food or drink either (not even water bottles), so you're forced to buy their overpriced stuff.

The mezzanine sections of the main ballroom are a bit to be left desired too. The 3rd level looks like it is unfinished... and that you could even possibly fall through.

The nearest hotels are in downtown Brooklyn, making coming here a total pain in the butt. If you have an event here, just use an airbnb.

I was here for a wedding and had a blast! He of course brought is own food I think but the hall is lovely and the DJ was good...he may may brought him in also.

Went here for my son s graduation to be treated in a very disrespectful manner by one of the female usher with a very heavy accent. She went so far to express aggression towards my son and my wife we were all embarrassed, and did not want to make it a bigger scene because of course she was white and we were black and Hispanic and of course we would be shown to be the aggressor.. but that s why the kind of person they have representing their establishment

The St Lucian association kept our independence ball there the place is exquisite the staff and the service was great would recommend this place to anyone wishing to keep their functions here

We had our Company Christmas Party there the venue was beautiful. A night to remember!

Went last year it was freezing cold this year was warm inside it was great served us a salad had a leg of chicken that melted off the bone the food is excellent

Beautiful venue,accommodates 3 or 4 functions at the same time, very spacious.

This place is in dire need of some care, especially on the upper ballroom levels. The third level looks as if it's about to fall apart.

Beautiful event space for graduation, weddings and more . Professional staff , good food , fully stocked bar and valet parking . Multiple rooms to choose from a bit on the traditional side

Very spacious hall and iconic site in Brooklyn. I was told by one of the employees that it holds the very 1st elevator in Brooklyn and it still works. I personally used it to get my gear to the 2nd floor. Food and ambiance was great for the event i was djing. Also allowed me to use their in house base speakers which was a major plus. Special thanks to Ms. Jacome and the entire staff for their hospitality.

I attended an event a few days ago at Grand Prospect Hall and i was super impressed. The moment I walked in the door I was in awe, such a beautiful venue - absolutely one of a kind! Apart from the amazing look of the place I must say the food and service were top notch. I am not personally having an event any time soon, but if i were i'd 100% use the Grand Prospect Hall.

What a beautiful place to go to a festival! Beautifully decorated and well laid out.

Went to venue this past friday such a big and expensive place and their was no air conditioner.Numerous people complained to the owners and no one did anything about it not only did they make their money selling the tickets put also with drinks about 300 people attended this event and it was Extremely hot and disgusting.

Went here for a school event... They ended up serving up cold pasta with a flavorless sauce and salad that had no dressing on it. To drink we had waterd down soda and fruit punch that tasted like V8fruit but worse... Gets one star because the decor lived up to it's "grand" namesake

That is Prospect Hall s take on the past and how it shapes it s offerings to code people, media strategists and investment bankers that are NYC s abstractions laborers. The place is good. Try something analog.

Grand is it is. Very large place and detail.
The food is great.
