Galante Vineyards

Make sure you find this small, but amazing tasting room in the heart of Carmel. They have a great selection of wines at very reasonable prices, and their memberships are some of the most reasonable I have ever seen. The owners are also very friendly, laid back people, and love to mingle with their customers.

Fantastic, high quality wines. One of the best around and the best in the area. Been to Napa a few times and Galante is better than 98% of them.

This is such cozy and friendly wine tasting room.

I'm hesitant to give two stars because I don't want to make other wineries more appealing in the area; I haven't tried them. But we taste in SB, Napa, Escondido and all over the country.

$20 tasting is too much

I'd rate Carlo Rossi as a step above Galante. Subpar wine. Only ones that stood out were extra tanin-y and chewy, but those are only good for a few sips before it's too much.
Service was good, nice people. Inside is a little odd, Texas theme in California.

But really, my review is for the wine itself. Subpar and disappointing.

A cute, family run tasting bar that shows excellent local, estate grown wines that really represent the area. Tried the '97 library Cabernet Sauvignon. Beautiful cherry fruit and age softened tanins. Excellent Pinot.

Lovely spot, great music, and good wine. We enjoyed our tasting, and ended up getting glasses after because we didn t want to leave!

Molly was an excellent person to visit with. Lots of knowledge of the wine. We can't wait to visit again

came here as they were closing, small cute place tucked away, had a nice glass of chardonnay, our server was very nice and knowledgeable.

Wine was disappointing. Hostess seemed amateurish. Very pricey. Poor seating.

Stopped in while visiting Carmel from Washington state. Tried a couple tastings and left. Person serving hollered after us that we had not paid so went back in and took care of it. Wine tastings in Washington are free. Person working there never heard of that apparently. Openly rude and condescending. I'd recommend you become familiar with the industry in other areas of the country and greet customers and inform them of how the tasting works when they arrive. We didnt want all of the tastings anyway. Wine not great and nothing very special to make it successful.

Such a fun spot! Great wine, fun host, and beautiful day. Tasting was really personal and very friendly. The wine was delicious, we ended up taking home three bottles. Would definitely visit again!

Sammy is amazing!!! We love robust red wines, and this place hit the spot (which is rare on the peninsula). But tasting with Sammy was our favorite!! He is one of my favorite folks in Carmel, so friendly and fun!!

It was an awesome long weekend. Stayed in the studio which was fully stocked and comfortable. Had tastings at Galante and Dawn's Dream just around the corner. Also watched some golf on beautiful Pebble Beach. Will do again and again!!

Fabulous place for a friendly wine tasting experience. Wines are all from their local vineyard.

For $20 you ll get to taste 5 good wines and even have a chance to revisit a couple if you can t make up your mind about which to buy.

Very friendly staff too.

I d give them five stars if they waived the tasting fee for wine purchases, but on the other hand they gave us a 20% discount on the wine for buying three bottles.

It is a cozy place with nice and attentive service. Definitely nice to spend some time at. Reasonable price for 5 wines to taste.
The reason for the 3 stars is the wine which I don't thinks is standing out anyway.

Terrible service, extremely disrespectful and rude to the customer. Treated us like we were creating an inconvenience, and overall provided underwhelming service.

I ll give them that their wine was decent quality.
