Front range community college

This school definitely uses banker hours it's not set up for working adults. There is a nice gym and the teachers are great but sadly more and more programs are being moved online. I really don't think anything the school offers online really compares with Coursera and the school has been cutting back to many programs especially for trades.

This quite possibly might be the worst community college in the state! Do not waste your time, money, or resources at this institution! You would be much better served going literally ANYWHERE else!

Horrible communication with all staff very displeased in trying to become a student there after being in the military most of my adult life I decided to utilize my gi bill and now it has become a bad mistake I am so disappointed and discouraged that I don t even know if I want to try and go back to school I would never recommend this school to any other military veteran especially with COVID going on the staff is definitely not on the same track for example i have been back in school for three weeks I have not completed any assignments because of lack of communication on showing me how to navigate through school work and now I have also been dropped from all of my classes and with that being said I didn t even have books because the staff could no give me the correct guidance on how to receive book horrible

I always have an amazing experience no matter which campus I go to. All the staff at Westminster is amazing and very helpful when I come in. It's always nice to have someone with a smiling face and not trying to rush you when you have questions. Best decision I have made was to go to this college.

The facility is large with lots of natural sunlight on the upper floors and library. All of the staff I have encountered have been courteous and helpful. My education both online and in person were proficient, informative, and created a desire to strive for success. I've had a few issues with the bookstore but they were dealt with promptly.

Honestly, my high school teachers who were my professors for my FRCC courses, Dr.Rice and Prof. Gelrod from PVHS, were far greater than my current professors on campus. My math prof., Ryan Jones does little to nothing for my remote math class. Our class is supposed to meet Tue. and Thur. and he's canceled classes on Tue. completely. He is having us watch lectures he obtained from a different prof. on Mon., Wed., and Fri. because he doesn't enjoy lecturing on zoom, and we meet on Thur. so he can go over any questions we might or might not have. I go to class on Thursday and waste my time for attendance purposes every week. He's also unwilling construct and give us useful material unless he able to obtain it from a colleague! What??? Literally a conversation I had with him today! Why am I paying for this remote class when it is basically online but I'm forced to give up my time of day to attendance and not for my education?? Lazy teacher and it shows. I expected an obviously educated teacher, not one who cuts every corner for his own benefit.

FRCC has issues. As with most places. But the good definitely out weights the bad at least in my experience. The staff are all for the most part good and have a pretty good handle on their classes as they are least treat you like a person and not a bank account. I only had one bad teacher from the English department but that's ok. The environment is great. Most of the people there are split between post high school students who are working to get better grades or adults who actually give a sh*t about their education. Most people keep to themselves at least, so if you work better in the environment that pushes classroom success over increasing social media then you'll fit in. The school looks nice and although it can feel like one long hallway, it at least feels welcoming. The cost is hit and miss. Most financial aid is applied and helps but dealing with the people can be difficult. If you can get everything taken care of online and not interact with the staff in that office as ouch as possible you'll be for the better. The counselors are also bad. Taking very little interest in you and just throwing classes at you to the point that you don't really know why this is in your degree and you end up wasting what should be a 2 year degree, gets turned into 4. At least you're learning stuff I suppose. FRCC is a mixed bag but leans more positive despite the issues..

Don t be fooled by the relatively fine furnishings. This is truly a horrible and hostile environment. Go to a four year University (on-line) and you ll be far more successful- and happy.

If you re a Veteran, don t go here. At all costs. I have never seen so much miscommunication in a school in my entire life. I have helped other service members enroll in colleges and have never seen this messy of a start. I am currently responsible for $2,000 of uncovered classes. I have been told multiple different things from the Veteran Advisor here and I am now stuck with this. Find another college to use your GI Bill on.
