No experience but I am a daughter of a soldier, Mr Louis Ricord who did his military service in the barracks 118 of Mont-de-Marsan route de Bordeaux in the 1920s or 1921s at that time.

The base itself is pretty, close to the city center it is an advantage but also VERY restrictive. Especially for the locals since the planes are hunters .. having worked there for 5 years, it's a horror.

June 18, 2020 at 7:52 p.m. An airplane made a 90 degree turn just after takeoff and flew to the bottom of the checkout and very low above the dwellings near Uchacq and Parentis. The whole house was trembling, it was a very scary moment, because we were wondering what was going on .. Please respect the air corridors !!

The base is nice, but hey the plane which has fun every day has the biggest mess. It's slightly painful.

Zero star merit. It is every day that thousands of people in the agglomeration of Mons are disturbed by the noise of planes at all hours of the day and night. In addition to the very harmful noise for health (read the reports of the WHO) the military planes waste a lot of kerosene for an enormous cost and pollute. Those who say they are not embarrassed must have hearing problems or are in bad faith. The body does not get used to very loud noises. As for those who suggest going to live elsewhere, we can say that they do not always choose their place of residence and that the city was there long before the military base.

The noise terror of the low-flying aircraft is unbearable even in remote communities. There are flights in all directions day and night. We were happy when the vacation was over.
