Frantic Assembly is a renowned theatre company that has been captivating audiences with its unique brand of physical theatre since 1994. At Frantic Assembly, we believe that theatre should be an immersive experience that engages all the senses. Our productions have been staged in some of the world's most prestigious theatres including London's National Theatre, New York's Lincoln Center and Sydney Opera House. We have also collaborated with leading arts organizations such as BBC Arts, Sadler's Wells and Royal Shakespeare Company.
Frantic Assembly was founded by Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett who met while studying at De Montfort University in Leicester. They shared a passion for physical theatre which led them to form their own company after graduation. Since then they have gone on to win numerous awards including Olivier Awards for Best Choreography (2012) and Best Entertainment (2017).
One of our most popular productions is "Othello", which was co-produced with Royal Shakespeare Company in 2015. This production received critical acclaim for its innovative staging which combined live performance with pre-recorded video footage to create a truly immersive experience.
Another highlight from our repertoire is "Things I Know To Be True" which premiered at Adelaide Festival Centre in 2016 before embarking on an international tour. This production explores themes such as family dynamics, love and loss through a series of interconnected vignettes performed by an ensemble cast.
In addition to producing our own shows, Frantic Assembly also runs a range of workshops and training programs for aspiring theatre-makers. These include masterclasses in physical theatre, devising and movement direction as well as bespoke training for schools, colleges and universities.
