Flexiti financial

I purchased furniture from Leon's in Toronto back in August 2022 and agreed to the Flexiti Financial financing plan, which promised 18 months of interest-free payments. The initial experience was good, but I’ve run into significant issues with communication and hidden charges. Since I don’t have a laptop and my phone doesn’t handle email properly, I was relying on receiving hard copies of my statements and card documents to keep track of my account. However, I never received them. The biggest shock came when I finally called to make a payment. I discovered that insurance had been added to my account without my knowledge or explicit permission. I never asked for it, and because I didn’t get the documents, I couldn’t see that extra fee accumulating. On top of that, my available credit limit was set at $3,500 CAD, but my current debt is already over $4,000 CAD. They increased the balance without my consent, and I have no way to track this properly without physical mail. I am fully prepared to pay off the debt for the furniture I bought, and I know my due dates. However, I refuse to pay for the insurance fee that was sold to me without my knowledge. I expect Flexiti Financial, TransGlobal Insurance, and Leon's Furniture to work together to resolve this issue, as I was never given the chance to accept or decline the coverage.
