Getting my aircraft from Flex Innovations in Venice was a smooth experience; it arrived promptly and in pristine condition. I’m largely satisfied with the build quality and the finish, which is why I’m rating this four stars. The main drawback was the cosmetic state of the fuselage. While minor touch-ups are acceptable, the ones on my plane were quite noticeable, with smeared paint covering spots up to two inches square. I managed to fix the issue by carefully painting over the marks within the panel lines, and it looks much better now. Like with most ARFs, some hardware was missing—I had to find replacements for two screws and nuts for the elevator pushrods. I also noticed there are no tubes in the wings for the spars, meaning they slide directly into the foam. I’m concerned this might lead to compression and flexing over time, so only experience will tell how durable that is. Aside from these specifics, the rest of the plane is stunning, and the parts and electronics are of excellent quality. I haven’t taken it for a flight yet, but after seeing other club members fly their models and hearing their positive feedback, I’m confident this will become one of my favorite planes.

I recently took the Flex Innovations F-100 out for its maiden voyage, completing five flights in total, and I’m thoroughly impressed. While it isn’t a raw-speed machine with the stock power setup, the thrust is more than adequate. We flew at a club field sitting at 4,500 feet, so the thinner air did moderate the speed slightly, but the vertical performance remains solid even out of high-power low passes. The standout feature for me has to be the Aura 8 control system; it feels incredibly balanced. Whether I’m landing at low rates or handling high-rate maneuvers, the setup is spot-on. The roll rate and exponential adjustments are particularly comfortable. The engineering team at Flex Innovations clearly did their homework. I also noticed the included servos are high-quality, centering perfectly on the bench and holding that precision in the air. The manual’s center of gravity recommendation suited my flying style perfectly—just a touch of down elevator when inverted, with plenty of authority for short final approaches. The rudder control is another highlight; four-point rolls look fantastic, and maintaining a knife-edge requires minimal input. As for endurance, I usually push the throttle hard, but even with a three-minute timer and a single landing attempt, I still had about 20% juice left on a 5500 60C pack. That buffer is perfect for a go-around if needed. So, does it break the sound barrier? Not quite. But does it have great power and performance? Absolutely. I am very satisfied with this jet.
