We didn't realize that the river was up so much that some of the structures were just out of the water and the steps went down to the water rather than ground! It is a very nice complex and worth a trip to spend some time. Very relaxing by riverside. Attend many festivals during the summer. Great space. Great location. Also good for sitting and watching the river or riding a bike.

I wanted to hike on the trail that was mentioned in the website. But there s no proper sign in the park that would tell you where exactly is the entrance to the trail. I think this park is more of a picnic area and less of a hiking park.

Park ranger was rude, incompetent and harassed us the entire day. Dayton is a dying city and us locals want to see it become what we know it can be by enjoying nature and all that the park has to offer. But the officer in duty Sunday August 13th 2017 at Eastwood lake in the morning and noon was not making that possible at all. I can say this for sure, I will NEVER go back there again. I would rather drive an hour away to somewhere like Alum creek where I know I can relax and spend time with my loved ones without someone like him bothering me...
