As a college intern at First Star I can say I thoroughly enjoyed my time working for this company. Everyone that works for them is super genuine and nice. It was really fun working at this company. As I look forward to graduating from college in the spring they have prepared me to find my next job.
As a college intern this past summer I can say that First Star Logistics is a great place to work compared to other jobs. They value their employees and will make your time here amazing.
John is amazing. He always makes sure that we are compensated accordingly. He communicates well and let's us know when he has loads that we are looking for ahead of time. We have ran several loads with John and each time we are satisfied. Ask for John he will get it done.
The broker who simply doesn't care about carrier and drivers. At the first curve he will betray you. So unprofessional. I would not recommend it at all.
Dustin Armstrong of first star logistics called and literally threatened us with a bad review if we didn't break our hours of service for a load. We decided to cancel. We don't break the law and I can tell from the reviews this company has serious issues that could hurt a growing company. We don't deal with that form of blackmail. Beware of these guys

We are the trucking company that did the job with Mr. Tyler Hughes, he is one of the best Brokers with who I worked before.
He really did his job very professionally, he helped us to solve the problem with the load at 1 am in LOS ANGELES, he every time in touch with the dispatchers and trying to do best how he can to save time and money for everyone.
Highly recommended work with him, if You will see his name on the rate agreement, it means that You catch a happy ticket.

Awesome place to work. They really value their employees and will go the extra mile to make sure everyone feels appreciated. Our manager even took several members of our team to the Reds game this week and they went all out-- great experience!
Brokerage department is one of the worst broker, they make carrier to wait for 1 hour to send rate con and it is always like that, and if truck is covered during that period, they report a carrier on 411. they have no clue why they are reporting, they just want all carrier to stay down, and they do not answer phone calls too after reporting. if you have an option, do NOT us them, worst broker so far we have seen. NO GOOD BROKER
