Fire Fresh BBQ

I came with a bus load of students. The staff did a great job of serving everyone quickly. I've eaten here before. The pulled pork sandwich was supplied with ample meat. It came with a generous helping of string fries, seasoned with seasoned salt. I was glad everything was hot and fresh, given the name of this place. Decor is simple, but their is a subtle fire house theme, with long tables, chairs, and a few chairs, on a sealed concrete floor. There is only one TV, in the corner.

If you want to wait a LONG time for average food (took over 30 minutes for two hamburgers, 10 wings and a chicken sandwich) then this is the place for you.

Average frozen style food. Long wait. Not worth your time or money.

Ok BBQ, price is too high for the portions given. I mentioned this while checking out and the what appeared to be the owner got offended and defensive. The previous owner & food was fabulous!

Was amazing! Definitely get more of their sauce to dip your fries in!

Not a good night to visit. It's been 35 minutes and still waiting on a to go order . Everyone seems to be waiting on food. Some of the tickets had fallen behind counter and they didn't know until someone asked them to check for their order. Not happy about wasting my night.

Great brisket. Different BBQ sauces make it easy to enjoy the type of BBQ you like.

I love this place its amazing and I think the food is just as amazing please don't listen to the Debbie downers.

KenTex has better BBQ. Menu here does have variety of non BBQ stuff, if you have fussy kids maybe it's better.

Rib tips were dried out, brisket is awesome, so are skillet potatoes

Fantastic BBQ. Not authentic down home, but we'll worth it since the area doesn't have a lot to offer.

Always a good experience. They have amazing pulled pork platters, and their mac and cheese is the best!

Good bbq. Ribs are especially good! If you like Memphis style "dry" ribs, this is a good place to get them. Sides are good. Plenty of seating.

Almost 15.00 for this , not worth it . The portions are just sad . I'll just drive to Louisville. Please look at the picture , highway robbery..and the brisket taste like it came out of the microwave. Almost 3 dollars a piece for each rib , never again..

Since this is a review however i need to add a little more detail.

This is a nice calm quiet restaurant good for families to dine in all there food is super fresh, and most of all delicious.
There is just so much to say about this place it has a nice very American home theme of fire fighters and pub food anything from: ribs, to burgers, salads, chicken fingers.

The variety of sauces for wings and just dips is amazing wanting me to come back and try more of my favorite food with a good selection to keep me happy every time i visit the staff is very friendly and loves to make there customers happy they even gave me a wet wipe for the hot honey sauce which i definitely reccomend.

Overall great place to eat! 5/5

Favorite BBQ in Shelbyville! Usually get the sampler platter to enjoy tasting several items like the ribs, BBQ pork and chicken, and choice of two sides. The baked beans and cole slaw are my favorites. It is in the shopping center with Dollar Tree. You might miss it if your not looking. It does have tables to dine in and counter service. Friendly staff.

I ordered the rib tips, baked beans and a drink. When the food finally arrived, the rib tips were literally burnt. I took the food back to the counter and told them just to refund the amount of my meal and I would pay for the drink, as I was dining with my husband. The "manager" refunded the $6.99 for the meal but refused to also refund the taxes on that meal. Granted it wouldn't have been much, BUT IT WAS MY MONEY, NOT THEIRS. Very disappointed in the entire experience on this particular night

Food is good, but the price is a little high for the small portions.

Not the best Q by far. Meat tastes like oven-baked and depends on sauce for taste. I prefer Ken-Tex.

The food was pretty good for the price. The chocolate chip pie was good. I wish I would have gotten it warmed up though. The sweet tea was great!

First time going about a week ago. Had no idea what I was ordering at first and didn't get what I thought I ordered. One of our sides of mac and cheese had a long, dark hair in it yet there was no one working in the kitchen we could see with long hair. No one ever came to check on us after our food was brought to us. The brisket was also very dry and covering it in bbq didn't help much.

I love the menu here. The food is always delicious.

The service was good. The only issue I had was the sandwich I had today had a odd taste. I finished my sides but left over half of my sandwich. I did not say anything because I was on my lunch break and had time restraints.

Fire fresh is my favorite restaurant in Shelbyville. Food is great! My only complaint is the portion size I got with my order today, and occasionally on other visits. It was much smaller than usual, barely enough to make a sandwich.

Food has a great taste but small portions. What really let me down was no baby changing table! Had to hold my daughter and change her. Nothing more annoying then not having changing stations in restaurants.

As a person with over 42 years of food service experience, I highly recommend this place. The service was very good, the prices were reasonable & the BBQ was some of the best that I didn't cook myself. The hardest part of the meal was to stop eating long enough to take a picture of it. I had the Brisket with Fries & Baked Beans. My teammate had the Chicken with the same sides and loved his also. I can't, unfortunately, figure out how to add my picture. Darn it! I knew I should have kept on eating

Really good marinated BBQ pulled pork sandwich. They had a lunch special for $7.99 including drink and two FreshSides. The green beans were awesome, soft and full of flavor. The fries are seasoned and delicious!
Sweat tea is good enough to get one to go.

Ok, so before I start acting upset, the pulled pork sandwich I got was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked, and the bbq sauce was perfect.

HUGE GLARING PROBLEM THOUGH

The fries I got were barely lukewarm. It was an hour and a half before closing, but that shouldn t be so early that they stop making fries.

If you come here, ask for your fries hot. We got two combo plates, half covered in cold fries.

The meat was the proper temperature though. Fairly priced, good quantity, and pleasant atmosphere.

Most everything there is pretty good. I love wings and theres were not very good in my opinion but there bbq is usually very good

The did was horrible. Never order the chicken fried steak unless you want a barely fried from mystery meat Patty covered with thick white powdered gravy. The brisket was cut into small squares and apparently cooked too fast. The meat was tough and I was not able to eat the vast majority of it due to thick hard Cartledge. I will never go back here for anything. The store was dirty and the bathrooms smelled like poop and were dirty. I drove 45 minutes for this disappointment. The plane seemed to be ready by kids. Not one adult over 25 in sight. I will not be going back. Totally gross food. When I ordered a pound of pulled pork they don't sell it like that. Really... You don't... Why? They did give me some to go but put a bun in the top and bottom of it. By the time I was able to eat it the bun was totally soaked and uneditable. It soaked up all the juice. It's like these kids were thrown into this place to work without any direction. Very sad.

Food was great...we had the pulled pork sandwich plates with mac n cheese and the backed beans...we wish we had a second serving of everything all over again...this is definitely going to be a go to spot for us when visiting Louisville

I like the pulled chicken and drive from Louisville from time to time to eat here. The sweet and spicy and hazmat sauces are my go to.

Service is extremely slow. We ordered three meals to eat in the restaurant and one togo. We were never asked if we wanted them to wait on the togo order and were done eating for 20 minutes when I went up to check on the togo order. After waiting another 15 minutes, I asked the manager with blond hair what was taking so long and she kept coming up with excuses and said they did not want our togo order to be cold. The wait would be fine but the employees in the back were all just hanging out and claimed we were waiting on bread. Another togo order was waiting just as long. The manager was extremely unprofessional and service was horrible.

Chase was awesome. The food was even better. Extreme sauce is my favorite and my wife says Bama Red is hers. All the meats were perfectly cooked and the mac & cheese was nice and creamy. The best bbq in kentucky!!!!

Mac and cheese is not homemade, I expected some nice homemade mac and cheese. Pulled pork tasted like it was cooked in crock pot. Not a true BBQ joint to me.

Food was good, high school aged staff seemed less than enthused to be working there.

This was a great lunch place. Food was fresh and really good. BBQ pork was cooked perfectly and was very good. Also, the Mac-n-Cheese was really good too. Don't let the negative reviews on here keep you from trying it for yourself. Like I almost did. I will definitely be going back to try some other menu items.

Great food and well priced with enough fixings to satisfy your appetite. Staff always friendly and quick to address any needs. I loved it.

It was okay but no what it use to be. They still need Tory Harris in back over seeing this. No one can cook that pulled pork like him.
