Famous Dave's

Decent Midwest BBQ joint. Service can be hit or miss depending on the server. Happy hour limited to those sitting in the bar, which is a disappointment. Menu is quite large and they have a reasonable wine and beer menu.

Usually very good food but my ribs were overcooked and very difficult to chew. Was a disappointing visit. Hopefully next time it will be better.

Food isn't what it used to be. Rids were tough, burgers were flat on flavor. We won't go back

I love Famous Dave s for Large batch (party) takeout. They occasionally have less than stellar quality control in the amount of fat that is allowed in their pulled pork and brisket, but overall, very tasty, we have always had excellent service, so don t let one bad server keep you from returning.

The brisket was perfect! The lunch size portion is just right.

Beef brisket was delicious, soft and tender great taste. Chicken is very good. Had the all American meal that feeds 4-6 people

Great food but waited too long for a pick up. First time this happened, I thought maybe it was just busy that day. A few months later went back around dinner time for a pick up and it was the same 30 min or longer for my food that I ordered at least an hour ahead of time. I refuse to go there unless it's dine in.

Service was beyond slow for a quiet Sunday. Took almost half hour for our drinks and water to get to the table! Food took another lifetime to be served too. Had better service here before.

The atmosphere was amazing and the service was great. The food left a little to be desired. I had beef tips and they were so massively overcooked, I could barely eat them. I understand sometimes when eating a dry rub the meat gets a bit dry, but this was over the top dry.

The food was really good and the service fairly fast. The prices were reasonable. They had immediate seating on a Friday night, which other places we wanted to go did not.

I love this place!! They have the best service and staff by far. The environment is always laid back and super inviting. This is a great place for a romantic date, a quick lunch, or family get togethers and corporate events. They also cater. The bar has amazing drinks and their wine choices are good as well. They offer something for everyone.

The food and service are always great. Kids eat free on Tuesdays and, while not everything on the menu is super healthy, they actually do offer some really good side options for those who aren't after a 4000 calorie meal.

Could be a Five Star. Service has been poor past couple times unless I sat at the bar.

Famous Dave's may possibly be my favorite restaurant chain. I got the feast for one, which has a little of everything they offer, and it was all great. The beans, coleslaw, ribs, pulled pork, all of it. The atmosphere is great, and I love that they play the blues. The last time I went to Famous Dave's the service was fast, faster than I remember it being before. The only negative thing I can think about Famous Dave's is it's not the cheapest place in the world to eat. The drinks can be pricey too, but that goes for all chain restaurants. Still, Famous Dave's is good enough to earn a five star rating in my book.

Excellent food! The last couple times I had been to a Famous Dave's it had been just okay, but they seem to have changed some things around. Everything was hot and extremely tasty!

Had the brisket sandwich, disappointed....little chunks of meat instead of nice slices of brisket. Spicey green beans good. Fruit N/A beverages very good. Nice staff. Won't be back. Stick to ribs and burgers.

Prices seem to be getting higher, I ordered the one meat chicken meal. The piece of chicken was small, I told the waitress who hardly ever came back to check on us. She brought our bill, without asking if we wanted anything else. Which we wanted the bread pudding, so ordered that. When she brought it back, she said we didn't have to pay for that. The best thing is definitely the bread pudding!!!

Food was good but service wasn't. Waitress was chatting to another wait staff while holding our drinks.

The ribs are to die for. I always eat to much when I visit this wonderful place. EVERYTHING tastes fantastic. But then it is FAMOUS DAVE''S !

Good food, great friendly knowledgeable service. We had a family gathering and were able to gather in a semi private area in the back. Even though the furthest from the server, we still had great service. We had a special which included about everything on the menu for 10 people and still took a lot home for one flat price. The Manager was extremely helpful.

I had the blue berry margarita and it was awesome. The new BBQ nachos are pretty good too.

You really cannot ask for better food I really put their heart into their cooking

I ordered take out - the loaded baked potato and a salad which was supposed to include a corn muffin as well. I was just getting back to work when I got a call telling me I took the wrong bag for lunch. I told them I took the only bag on the counter, the one the clerk told me to take! She admitted it was her mistake. So I had to drive back there (waste another almost 20 minutes of my lunch hour) to get the correct lunch. And now eating my lunch - I don't even have the corn muffin. Not a good experience!

Although the service was a bit slow, the food is superb! The cornmuffins are to die for and the meat is well seasoned. We had a plethora of choices for bbq sauce on our table that I ended up only using on the Fries since the meat was so delicious! Definitely 5 stars for the food although the service seemed lacking but maybe that was because we came kinda mid afternoon. I would definitely return to this specific location again since it was cozy and clean.

Went here for dinner tonight. Our server was pleasant, made sure we had our refills and the food was brought out fast (I recommend the cheese curds!) The food in general is just excellent, a great place for barbecue and date night or with family and friends. Definitely left here in a food coma!

Haven't been here for a long time,well the food was awesome, everything tasted great,would highly recommend!!! And this place was full at lunch and the place across the road had know body there!!!! Imagine that!!!

Dave's favorite is now my favorite. Excellent food, and excellent service. Definitely will visit again.

Overpriced and horrible food! I ordered a pork sandwich with onion strings. They were greasy and gross. The pork sandwich made me sick to my stomach.

I have not been here in a long time....with that said I went today ordered 2 meat plate I wanted double brisket but I was advised by our server. I could not order beef brisket twice ..um ok I'll take beef brisket and rib tips when my meal arrived it was to pieces of brisket and a pile of rib tips ...ong rib tips were like bubble gum horrible brisket was cold horrible...since famous sold out to corporate they are horrible

This is the best place to get chicken! I absolutely love their food! One of the best places in Eau Claire to eat!!

Service was friendly, prices were average for a bbq. Cheese curds were a tasty surprise. Some of the ribs were overcooked to the point of shoe leather. Liked the garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw. There is better bbq in the area than here.

Ribs dry and terrible. Excellent salmon dip n hot wings. Dry cheeseburger. Baked potato good. Good service.

Baby back ribs that fall off the bone are A grade and in my humble opinion should be the only thing on the menu!

Good BBQ and good service. I've never been disappointed here. Their ribs are fantastic. I really like to get the feasts and split it with my wife. We each eat until we are full and have food to bring home.
