BEST museum ever visited. Hands-on area everywhere, you get to be part of every scientific experiment!

Fun museum, lots of cool exhibits to explore. I found it interesting even as an adult.

We also had our holiday party here and the venue was amazing! Very cool to see it at night.

Very attractive if you and / or your children like natural science.

Perhaps the best museum in SF! Do visit on Thursdays, it is far better in the afternoon without all these kids.

Fantastic! A gem of the Bay Area. Educational, artistic, fun. I could spend days here.

For bad weather a very good destination with children. Science is explained here vividly. Children are allowed to touch and test everything. However, it is very loud and hectic there.

This place is a must see if you re visiting SF, and even if you live here! You re going to have a great time whether or not you care about science. The exhibits are cool and even better if you re drunk at the Thursday night After Dark event.

Excellent museum and science center mix. Really great for kids to learn about science with all of the interactive activities. Everything is hands on.

Can be extremely crowded and is pretty expensive, but well worth the price

This is the best Exploratorium. Plan to spend hours there with your children there's so much to do. If you have kids 4 to 12 years old it will take you hours four to six hours to see everything. A very hands-on experience

I went with another adult and I am sure we found as much wonder and amazement as the kids. It was a popular place, but if you get past the first few exhibits you have some space to explore. Such a great presentation of science as accessible and beautiful and awesome.

Can not say enough about this place. We made it for the Pi Day anniversary and worth it. Could not get through all the exhibits, will have to go back later. Neither my 7 year old or 4 year old were bored. The 8 year old was highly engaged. The social psychology exhibit generated days of conversations on behavior and morality. We initially were ready to pass on the visit due to expense, but it was pay what you want community day. Would ve been worth every cent, so we donated heavy regardless.

This is so much bigger and better than the old Exploratorium. Museums where you can touch and interact with every exhibit encourage the child and scientist in each of us!

The kid/geek in me LOVES this place. I've been to both locations - formerly Palace of Fine Arts and now at the Embarcadero. The interactive exhibits are always fun and informative. They rotate out the exhibits once in awhile to keep it interesting and fresh. Must see!

Tip: They do something similar to Nightlife on Thursday nights. Great for dates!

Had an excellent time on a free admission day during mothers day. Place was packed but there is so much interactive gizmos to play with that everyone had their turn. Enjoyed how hands on the experience was and how home made some of the devices are so you can really learn what is going on. Great for all ages if your in to practical learning.

Went to the after dark night with a friend and had a great time, would definitely recommend if you like or are curious about science!

Age: 3+, this place is for everyone. Seriously, I was planning to stay for 1 hour & I ended up staying for 5 hours. I really enjoyed every minute here, its amazing to see how things are working & its mind-blowing how the idea behind it is simplified for all.

My boyfriend and I went to the adult night and it was a lot of fun! we only got to see about 75% of the place before closing and we arrived about an hour into the event. I'd highly recommend checking this place out if you enjoy hands on exhibits.

Our favorite museum in all the world! We go over and over again and never get tired. Every seen a slinky tread mill? What about a chicken heart beating at day 5.

Best of the best. Plan on spending a whole day here!

Very interesting place to take children to interact with scientific experiments. You need 3 or 4 hours if you want to see everything. A must for anyone walking with children in the Bay Area of Sao Francisco.

Great Musem for kids and kids at heart to explore science!

Plan to spend more than an hour. Alsoit closes early so get there early afternoon.

There is so much to do there. Get there when it opens and you and your kids can do anything without waiting.

My girls love going here!!! Its a nice family activity for us all to enjoy. Very educational.

We will definitely be back! We happen to come on a community day where you pay what you can to get in. The love way crazy long! We had so much fun!
