It would be nice to harmonize the levels between ESF of the different stations !! My son had his first star (hands down) in Meribel in 2018 and this year he did not have the excuse that he did not have the "2nd star level of Les Houches" !!! Nice for the kid to finish the holidays especially that his monitor which I do not name the name told him 2 days before it's good you'll get it!
In short we will not come back to Les Houches even if we met lots of people charming!

Club Piou Piou AVOID! Our daughter is 5 years old and started the ESF snow garden before 3 years old. Suffice to say that we have tested several in the Alps. That of Les Houches is absolutely not at the level of others. It's a daycare. The children learn nothing surrounded by monitors who do not look at them and let them do their little descent, get inside and fall without anyone reacting. An incredible nonchalance and an absence of will to learn. It is a real waste of money, time and disdain for parents and children. My daughter did not want to go there after 3 days because she was bored. Depressing.

We were able to enjoy with my wife two hours of private lessons at Les Houches with a 50% discount on the ski pass thanks to the ESF.
Our instructor Olivier (The oldest) was really patient with us despite our beginner level. We really had a great time thanks to him. Thank you !

For the piou-piou club go your way. 3d / 5 with the same workshop. Not once went on the green slopes (while the turchet track would be appropriate ...)
It is more of a daycare than an apprenticeship. No progress over 1 week. Final exam on a test (turn) not trained once during the week.
The most: all the teachers are very friendly
Less: no particular monitoring, no advice, too many children (between 40 and 50) on only 2 rope lifts, exam not in adequacy with the workshops of the week.
