Epworth UMC: A United Methodist Congregation in Cockeysville, Maryland
Epworth Church is a United Methodist congregation located in the heart of Cockeysville, Maryland. The church has been serving the community for over 150 years and has become a cornerstone of faith and fellowship for many families in the area.
At Epworth UMC, we believe that everyone is welcome to join us on our journey of faith. We strive to create an inclusive environment where people from all walks of life can come together to worship God and grow spiritually. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Our Worship Services
We offer two worship services every Sunday morning at 8:30 am and 11:00 am. Our services are designed to be engaging, uplifting, and relevant to today's world. We use a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary music styles that appeal to people of all ages.
Our pastors deliver sermons that are grounded in scripture but also address real-life issues that affect our daily lives. We encourage active participation from our congregation through prayer, singing, and other forms of worship.
Children's Ministry
We believe that children are an essential part of our church family. That's why we have created a vibrant children's ministry program that provides opportunities for kids to learn about God's love while having fun with their peers.
Our Sunday School classes are divided by age group so that each child can receive age-appropriate instruction tailored specifically for them. We also offer Vacation Bible School during the summer months as well as other special events throughout the year.
Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry program is designed for students in grades 6-12 who want to deepen their relationship with God while building lasting friendships with their peers. Our youth group meets regularly on Sunday evenings where they participate in Bible studies, games, service projects, and other activities.
We also offer retreats and mission trips throughout the year where students can experience new cultures while serving others in need.
Adult Ministries

- Small Groups - These groups meet regularly throughout the week at various locations around town.
