It rents out its vehicles from more than 8,000 locations, most of which are based in airports and neighborhoods in North America, Europe, and Asia. It also operates a commercial truck rental business, as well as a car sales business that sells the company's vehicles after it removes them from the rental fleet. Enterprise Holdings was formed in 2009 to combine Enterprise Rent-A-Car with its Vanguard Car Rental subsidiary (Alamo and National's former parent).
