believe Emerald Textiles is one of those companies that doesn't hire woman drivers.
I applied and was contacted by Frank which I believe is a manager at Emerald. When I came in for the interview I was informed that he wasn't available so I was interviewed by another person. In the interview I was told that the company was growing and that they were in need of many driver's to start immediately. As the interview went on I was offered a tour of the company, I noticed there weren't any woman drivers only in the back where the laundry is being serviced. I asked if there were any woman drivers and I was quickly told no. After the interview I was introduced to Frank which was the person who initially had called me in for the interview. He briefly said hi and continued on his computer. At the end of the tour I was told that if possible could I please provide an H6 whenever I had time. I knew they weren't interested right then because in the interview they said they needed drivers asap so y ask for an H6 whenever? I went on and brought my H6 and left in the the front because I was told Frank wasn't available to take it even though I had just text him. For days after dropping my H6 off I kept on texting Frank just to ask if he had gotten my H6 and he never replied. I continue on checking in with him and he still never replied. At that point I knew they weren't interested in hiring me and I really had no idea y because I have a clean driving record, have had my CDL class A since 2006 and I have lots of experience in the field. Still I decided to leave it alone and move on since it was clear Frank wasn't going to reply to my text messages. About a week or so later I received a call from another person there and I was asked to come in for a ride along with another driver. When I got there Frank was there and he walked me over to the driver I was going to be riding with, he then told me that after the ride along I would be contacted Monday to see what I thought about the job and if I liked it I would then be offered a job and would talk about training and the next steps. The ride along wasn't bad I just had to watch what the job was about and that was pretty much it. Today is Wednesday and i hadn't heard from anyone over at Emerald I text Frank yesterday and as usual he didn't reply. Today I finally heard from him and he apologized saying I thought Russ had gotten back to you. Sorry we went with another candidate. I replied No problem thanks! I personally believe he was never going to hire me so y waste my time and secondly y say a different candidate as if they were only hiring one person when it was clear in the interview they needed many driver's?

I was lucky enough to tour their plant. I was blown away by the technology and efficiency they have invested in this plant. Makes my washer at home look like a toy! They are cleaning laundry for almost all the Health Care providers in San Diego now! Awesome work keep it up!

It is a good place to work, they give you benefits, medical plan, they offer sick holidays when you work twice the only thing that does not rest on holidays, what kills is the production

I do deliveries here and the customer service and receiving department here is fantastic.
