Excellent for family gym/recreational facilities.

Excellent for family gym/recreational facilities.

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. It does get crowded at times but there is so much to do that you'll be able to find something to keep you happy if you have to wait for a machine.

We used to go to the Bayfront Y because it's closer but ...

The new addition of the cycling room and the Sports Performance Center have made Eastside the only Rochester YMCA I'll go to. They could use a few more squat racks/deadlift areas and more open hours at the SPC but other than that, beautiful facility. Hot tub, sauna, stretching area, dance rooms and ...

Gorgeous facility! My kids liked the child watch and adventure center a lot (FYI the adventure center drop off was only for kids 5 and older) so they went to the child watch. I was able to get some work done in the lounge, the WiFi is very fast!

The beautiful complex has all the workout facilities you could ever need, plenty of swimming options for singles or families, activities and daycare for the kids, friendly staff and activities outside in the warmer months. Like all Y's, there are busier times, so plan ahead to avoid the crowds.

When ever I go to the y I am going to play basketball, this seems like a common thing to do considering there are usually a lot of people on the courts, for some reason they do fitness classes and pickle ball on these courts a lot and I am left to share a court with 15+ people

This is one of my favorite Y's in the Rochester area. It's newer so the gym equipment is in great shape and always kept clean. There are locker rooms as well as day lockers in case you forget to bring your lock. Classes are scheduled practically throughout the entire day also there's always somethin...

WAY OVERPRICED. I shouldn't have to spend over $50 a month just for myself when family plans offer more flexible options. Pricing structure is horrible, and the staff can be rude. Aside from that, the place is beautiful and the facilities are great. But I can't justify this price and I won't be back...

Great place, everything is well maintained, lots of summer programs for the kids. Swimming lessons, a nice pool, walking track, basketball courts, climbing walls. There's a lot to love here. It's incredibly busy on the weekends, however, and the free weight area is too small for the number of peo...

On October 12, 2014 me, my family, and a couple of youth that I mentor took a visit to the Eastside YMCA in Penfield. We live near the Gates area so it was a bit of a trek. We numbered 9 people in all. I thought this would be a positive experience for us all, as I had frequented this YMCA a few year...

The pool is always open to anyone, classes don't interrupt families or individuals. The adventure center for kids is open, airy, with tons of climbing structures including a huge permanent soft slide that takes up an entire corner! The hanging house is very popular with my two little ones! The chil...
