I just finished a DIY project I’ve been eager to tackle since moving into our new home a month ago. Being a double-fronted house, we have five fireplaces (yes, five!), though none are currently functional. The first floor features exposed brick in three of them, and the one in the living room was this strange orange-red hue that clashed terribly with our grey walls. While I don’t mind red, that particular shade was a bit too much. After doing some research, I found Dyebrick, a UK-based supplier based in Norfolk. This means you can go full strength or dilute it significantly to let the original brick show through. I chose the “charcoal” shade and diluted it heavily to stretch one kit as far as possible.
