I’ve never visited a restaurant quite like Drake Devonshire in Wellington. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning, and the service was top-notch. A huge shout-out to our server, Andrew, who was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The cocktails were also fantastic. We had zero complaints and are already planning our next visit to enjoy the food and stay at the hotel.

The Drake in Wellington serves up tasty dishes, and the staff is wonderfully accommodating, especially with kids. If you want a table on the patio for those stunning lake views, get there by 5 PM because it gets packed and they don’t take reservations for those spots. After your meal, grab some wine in a plastic glass and hang out by the water near the fire pit to watch the sunset. It’s a lovely setup right on the waterfront.

The Drake in Wellington is a gem. We were blown away by the food and the stunning views. The cocktails are top-notch—definitely order the Country Lavender Sour. Our server was lovely and attentive, and the host was super helpful, even sharing some local tips for the area. It gets pretty busy, so you really need to call ahead a few days to snag a dinner reservation. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time dining at Drake Devonshire during our girls' trip to Prince Edward County. The spot has a really cool artistic atmosphere, and the views of the waterfront are stunning. Both the service and the food were excellent throughout the meal. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Wellington!

I recently visited the Drake Devonshire in Wellington after a three-year absence and it was a delight. Even though I’ve cut meat from my diet, the Salmon Bowl was too tempting to pass up. The fish was expertly marinated and cooked to perfection, making me really glad I opted for seafood. Service was prompt and the wait for a table was reasonable. I highly recommend the patio area for its charm, though you might want to bring a light layer—the wind can be surprisingly brisk, even on warm days.

Hosting a group of 14 at the Drake Devonshire for brunch on Saturday was a fantastic decision. Our server, Mel, truly elevated the experience. The menu delivered on flavor, particularly the Good Egg Breakfast and the fresh scones, which are definitely worth trying. The cocktails were inventive and hit the spot. For such a large party, the service speed was impressive. It was an effortless 10/10 evening at this Wellington spot.

The team at The Drake in Wellington was incredibly friendly, and the decor certainly creates a lovely atmosphere. However, on a sunny day, we expected brunch to be a seamless experience, and it fell short. We waited over an hour for our meal, which ultimately felt underwhelming. Despite reasonable prices, the avocado toast and egg benedict didn’t justify the wait or the cost. Service was slow, and the food was just average. If you visit thedrake.ca, I’d suggest allowing plenty of extra time for dining or sticking to drinks while you wait, rather than committing to a full brunch. Hopefully, the kitchen speeds up, because the location and vibe are genuinely appealing.

Visited The Drake Devonshire in Wellington for brunch to enjoy the patio and lake view. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by a swarm of insects that kept landing in our food and drinks. Service was painfully slow; we waited 30 minutes for coffee and another 30 for our meal. When we asked if the kitchen could hurry things up, we were told there was nothing they could do. Given how simple the dishes were, an hour wait felt excessive. The food itself was merely average—the eggs were oily, and the baked beans tasted like generic canned goods. To top it off, the default tip option is set to a generous 18%.
