I have no kids and didn t go with kids lol. My boyfriend and I went and had a lot of fun. There is an aquarium area where you re able to touch the star fish. For the price, you can t beat it. If you re looking for something different to explore in Charlotte during the day on the weekend, it s super interactive for all ages. Go do it! Also that picture of me is 5lbs of fat (right) vs 5 lbs of muscle(left)

Took my daughter here just to change up our regular routine and she absolutely loved it. I am going to be honest here and say I think I had more fun here than she did. Not because the place isnt short of outstanding, but I am so use to being in mom mode 24/7 I never stop to smell the roses anymore if you know what I mean. What a refreshing experience for us all. Highly recommend if you need a jolt of fun in your life.

I went here with my girlfriend and while this isn't the biggest or most in-depth museum it was so fun especially for a day trip to Charlotte. Wow there are very many kids-centric activities I found it just interesting enough for the two of us. The rainforest while small was pretty cool to look at. There's a very small rope bridge to go through as well so that was a fun photo op. Am I itching to go back, no. But, was it worth it for the day, absolutely.

Awesome is an understatement when it comes to this place. I've been taking my kids to different kid's museums over the summer, and this one has been hands down their favorite. From learning about the rainforest to exploring the possibilities of artificial intelligence, my kids loved every minute of it.

About Discovery place, inc.

Discovery Place is one of the leading hands-on science museums and a hub for science education and exploration in the Carolinas through four distinct museums.

Discovery Place, Inc. is a non-profit organization that operates four hands-on science museums in the Carolinas. The organization's mission is to inspire curiosity and encourage learning through interactive exhibits, educational programs, and community outreach initiatives.

The first museum operated by Discovery Place was opened in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1981. Since then, the organization has expanded to include three additional locations: Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville, NC; Discovery Place Nature in Charlotte, NC; and Discovery Place Science in Rockingham County.

Each of these museums offers visitors a unique experience that combines education with entertainment. At Discovery Place Science, for example, visitors can explore the wonders of physics through interactive exhibits like the "Cool Stuff" exhibit which features liquid nitrogen demonstrations and other exciting experiments.

Discovery Place Kids is designed specifically for children ages 0-10 and offers a variety of hands-on activities that encourage learning through play. The museum's exhibits are designed to promote early childhood development by stimulating children's imaginations and encouraging them to explore their world.

Discovery Place Nature provides visitors with an opportunity to learn about local wildlife and ecosystems through interactive exhibits like the "Piedmont Prairie" exhibit which showcases native grasses and wildflowers found throughout North Carolina.

In addition to its museums, Discovery Place also offers a variety of educational programs for students of all ages. These programs include field trips for school groups as well as summer camps that provide students with an opportunity to explore science topics in-depth.

One of the unique aspects of Discovery Place is its commitment to community outreach initiatives. The organization partners with local schools and community organizations to provide access to science education resources for underserved populations throughout the Carolinas.

Overall, Discovery Place is one of the leading hands-on science museums in the country thanks to its commitment to providing engaging educational experiences for visitors of all ages. Whether you're interested in physics or ecology or just looking for a fun day out with your family or friends - there's something at one of their four locations that will pique your interest!
