Developing K.I.D.S. is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing free, high-quality after-school programs, summer programs, and development activities for the youth of Detroit. The organization was founded with the aim of empowering young people in the city by providing them with access to educational resources and opportunities that they might not otherwise have.
At Developing K.I.D.S., we believe that every child deserves a chance to succeed in life, regardless of their background or circumstances. We are committed to helping young people in Detroit reach their full potential by providing them with the tools they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our after-school programs are designed to provide students with a safe and supportive environment where they can learn new skills, explore their interests, and build positive relationships with peers and mentors. We offer a wide range of activities including tutoring sessions, homework help, sports teams, music lessons, art classes, leadership training workshops and more.
During the summer months when school is out of session our summer program provides an opportunity for students to continue learning while having fun at the same time! Our summer program includes field trips around Michigan as well as other states such as Ohio & Indiana; this allows our students an opportunity for cultural exchange while also learning about different parts of America!
In addition to our after-school programs & summer camps we also offer development activities such as job readiness training courses which help prepare young people for future employment opportunities by teaching them essential skills like resume writing & interviewing techniques.
We understand that education is key when it comes to breaking cycles of poverty within communities; therefore we strive towards creating an environment where children can thrive academically without any financial burden on families who may not be able afford private tutoring or extracurricular activities outside school hours.
Our team consists of highly qualified educators who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people in Detroit. They work tirelessly every day to create engaging lesson plans that challenge students intellectually while also fostering creativity & critical thinking skills necessary for success later on down life's path!
We believe that education should be accessible for all children regardless if they come from low-income households or not; therefore Developing K.I.D.S offers all its services completely free-of-charge! This means no family will ever have worry about paying fees associated with enrollment into any one our programs!
