Can't beat this location, don't know any other place downtown with as much deck/outdoor space. Went with a large group to watch the FSU game and it more than accommodated us. There's also a much larger selection of draft beers than I've seen at other local pizza joints. This wood fired pizza is going to save me the cost of a trip to Italy.

Chicken pesto sandwich was a bit messy because of melted cheese and rogue tomatoes, but the flavor was well worth any messiness. House pickles are super vinegary awesomeness. Roasted brussel sprouts: yum. I can usually take or leave potato chips, but theirs were thick-cut, crunchy, and tasty. Service was great too.

I like the food here. But no changed for the meters out front? And little effort to find change. I stopped by for a meal. Pulled into a parking spot directly in front of the front door of the restaurant. Realizing I didn't have any change, I went in and asked the bartender for change for a dollar. He said they don't keep changing around. He did give me $0.15. which got me 9 minutes. Not enough to eat lunch. So I left. how can it be acceptable to not either have change available or make even an effort to find some change so that a customer can sit down and eat some lunch. Unbelievable oh, I didn't mean to be such an inconvenience.

Really loved the food and the service was great. American-style pizza, so you won't get the paper thin NY style crust here, if that's what you're looking for. Dough is fresh and flavorful. The garlic monkey bread is killer, I couldn't put it down. We ordered the Caspa and the Wu-Twang Clan pizzas and those were both unique and flavorful. The pizzas are personal size, not really big enough to split between two people.

You can taste the real spirit of Italian pizza from the menu here. The Pizza Deck kept the menu simple from the outset, but with the staple inclusion of a build-your-own item, though I ll say I personally liked the marguerita pizza the best. The appetizers were a hit, especially the garlic monkey bread, which provides a nice balance between the crunchy and oily textures. The live music really brings out a crowd, and the interior exudes some warm, welcoming vibes. The staff seem very poised to please, and they aren t shirking on table service, a nice change of pace from other cafeteria-style restaurants in town. Definitely going back and will definitely recommend.

The pizza is fine but not great. The prices are pretty high for a small pizza. If you just get a cheese pizza the price is OK but if you add toppings beware. The typically free toppings like onions are an additional $1. Premium toppings are $3. The final tab can be pretty outrageous with the pricing scheme they have adopted. My last grievance is the specialty pizza I ordered had garlic which I like. However the garlic had a distinctly bottled flavor to it. If you charge me premium prices give me fresh garlic. I really despise the flavor of the bottled minced garlic. So The Deck is better than Brickhouse Pizza which is totally gross but not nearly as good as Gaines Street Pies.

Amazing Neapolitan pizza. Best pizza in town. Homemade mozzarella cheese makes every bite melt in your mouth. Fresh made to order meatballs are amazing. Great beers on tap from a variety of breweries as well as specialty drinks unlike any other. Excellent service provided by all staff. Definitely be back soon!

We enjoyed a nice lunch here. The place is downtown, nicely decorated, and had nice atmosphere.

I ordered the meatball sub and my brother got the margherita pizza. Both were really good.

We both liked the bottle of water provided for the table instead of waiting for refills.

Will definitely be back to try more of the pizzas! The crust was perfectly crisped.

LOVE IT! From the location to the live music to the savory pizza and appetizers The Deck offers something for everyone. The Meat Up pizza is my favorite with toppings covering every inch of the pizza. Be sure to try the Gin and Tonic and Old Fashioned's available on tap as well as many craft beers.

Well what can I say. Waiters had to come back and ask again what we ordered because couldn t remember the order. Pizza not that good at all taste a little like school pizza and the cheese will fall off. Papa john and Gaines street pizza is better quality. Instead of the waiters asking how you re doing and need anything definitely need to train the waiters on how to wait tables and if you want the check make sure you get up to get the check otherwise you ll be waiting.

At the end of the day, this place has great pizza. It s got a classic sort of way they cook the pizza and stack the ingredients, and the restaurant was full of people when I went, so it seems they marketed well enough. I think the prospects for this place are good, considering it s placement in the downtown. I enjoyed the live music, though I sat inside, and I m glad they carry Proof. If you like thin, crispy, traditional kinds of pizza, then this place is a must-try in town, compared to the sea of grease at other local pizza places.

Amazing Pub like atmosphere with a variety of beers to choose from (including local brews). This is a great place to relax and watch the FSU football games on the weekends. Bring the family, bring friends, bring significant others but no matter who you bring everyone is sure to love it! The pizza and other authentic Italian dishes are simply delectable! The staff is friendly and inviting. I'll definitely be coming back to this place and am looking forward to my next visit! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Grabbed lunch here over the weekend, and sat outside on "the deck". My husband and I ordered a pizza to share, as the pizzas are around 15 inches/6 slices. It was so fantastic, that we crushed it, and ended up ordering a second pie (which we almost finished)! They also had my favorite beer on the menu, which made me a happy camper. We definitely plan on returning!

Nothing ever seems to last at this location, so my husband and I try to get downtown to support the restaurants that pop up here whenever we can. I'm hoping the pizza deck sticks around. Their pizza is good but their cheese board is AHHHH-mazing. If you like the meat and cheese board from Clusters & Hops, you're going to LOVE this one. Also, they have Chianti.
