Really great! Very well-kept classic ambiance. Really starched table linen. Where do you see that. The food is excellent. Great care. Nice service. I did find it hot in the dining area very quickly. Also, at least in my opinion, the tables are very close together. That was not pleasant. Feeling very busy, lots of noise. Certainly an opportunity to return.

We had a nice omelette on the square under the trees. We also enjoyed the view of the church. Ample free parking at the hotel restaurant. And Hummelo is a very pretty picturesque village.

Have been together with a large group: coffee, drink & lunch board. Corona safe. Very friendly and frequent service. We will definitely come back again.

We spent the night there yesterday, August 10, 2020, in the middle of the heat wave. It's a beautiful hotel, maybe a little dated but it's neat and everything we needed was there. There was also a fan in the room for the heat, but that was not enough. Too hot!
We also had dinner there and it was delicious! And the breakfast was great too. And because we were taking a long walk, we also got bread for lunch. Friendly service, actually everything was good, except for the heat

We decided to eat at the Gouden Karper based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, it is very disappointing to us. The hostess came rushed about and was not friendly. Moreover, it took a long time before someone came to help us upon arrival. The staff does not look at you and looks very gloomy. The deer steak of my wife was small and well done, while we had asked for medium. We were not asked if it tasted. We were in contact with four other guests who were also dissatisfied with the points mentioned above. They came here more often but indicated that the good times of the Golden Carp are over. That to me saying something. Sin of the high bill! We hoped to finish the food so that we could leave. Never again!

Okay place to stay

We came here as part of a bike ride. Already the building impresses you and you feel like you've been transferred to another time. The veranda, the opposite beer garden under shady old trees, the authentically dressed service staff, as well as the offer on the menu leave nothing to be desired! We will be back.
