Immer wieder werden Gespräche geführt, die nichts mit der Arbeit zu tun haben, was die Konzentration stört und ein ungesundes Arbeitsklima schafft.

Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Teamleiter, der dies nicht nur tolerierte, sondern selbst der Hauptinitiator solcher Ablenkungen war: Während der Arbeitszeit begann er Gespräche über Themen, die nichts mit dem Job zu tun hatten – etwa aktuelle Nachrichten, Autos, Grafikkarten, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Videospiele etc. – oder bat um Hilfe bei seinem Telefon oder Computer.

Nach außen hin und gegenüber der Geschäftsführung gab er sich stets offen für Fragen und hilfsbereit. In der Realität antwortete er auf Arbeitsanfragen jedoch fast immer, dass er „beschäftigt“ sei und man Probleme selbst lösen müsse. Verlassen Sie sich nicht auf seine Aussagen über Hilfsbereitschaft oder Interesse an Ihrer beruflichen Entwicklung – es liegt nicht in seinem Interesse, dass Sie sich verbessern, denn das würde mehr Arbeit und Konkurrenz für ihn bedeuten.

Seine wiederholten Aussagen wie „Ich hätte die Firma kaufen sollen“ deuten außerdem darauf hin, dass ihm sein Status und verpasste Gelegenheiten wichtiger sind als die Weiterentwicklung der Mitarbeitenden oder des Unternehmens.

Vorschläge von Mitarbeitenden zur Verbesserung oder Veränderung von Prozessen wurden von ihm meist mit der Aussage „Die Firma läuft“ und „Wenn es dir nicht gefällt, geh woanders hin“ abgeschmettert.

Insgesamt herrschte eine demotivierende Atmosphäre, die der beruflichen Entwicklung wenig förderlich war.
Ich hoffe, dass das Management diesen Hinweis aufgreift und Prozesse verbessert.
