Our Programs

Financial Resources: We offer grants ranging from $500-$2k through our Individual Artist Grant Program which supports individual artists working in all disciplines including visual arts & crafts; literary arts; media arts; performing arts; interdisciplinary practices; folk & traditional arts; design & architecture. Additionally we offer emergency relief funds during times of crisis like COVID-19 pandemic which has affected many individuals financially.

Communication And Marketing Activities: Our team helps promote your work through social media, newsletters, and other channels. We also provide resources to help you create a professional portfolio or website that showcases your work.

Innovative Collaborations: We facilitate partnerships between artists and businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and community groups to create innovative projects that benefit both parties. These collaborations can lead to new opportunities for artists while also contributing to the economic development of our region.

Our Impact

Since its inception in 2016, Creative Sonoma has made a significant impact on the creative community in Sonoma County. Our programs have helped hundreds of artists improve their skills, connect with other professionals, and promote their work. We have awarded over $1 million in grants through our Individual Artist Grant Program which has supported over 500 individual artists working across all disciplines.

We have also facilitated numerous collaborations between artists and local partners such as businesses like Lagunitas Brewing Company who commissioned an artist to design a mural for their taproom; government agencies like the City of Santa Rosa who partnered with us on an art project called "Art at the Source" which showcased local artists' studios; educational institutions like Sonoma State University who collaborated with us on a symposium about arts education.
