Creative Connections is an international cultural education organization that has been creating and facilitating innovative arts-based exchanges between classrooms in the USA and their peers around the world for over 30 years. The organization's mission is to promote awareness, understanding, and appreciation of other cultures, customs, and traditions through creative collaboration.
At Creative Connections, we believe that art is a universal language that can transcend borders and bring people together. By using art as a tool for communication, we aim to break down barriers between different cultures and foster mutual respect and understanding.
Our programs are designed to connect students from diverse backgrounds with one another in meaningful ways. Through our arts-based exchanges, students have the opportunity to learn about each other's cultures firsthand by sharing stories, traditions, music, dance, visual art projects or any other form of artistic expression.
We work with schools across the United States as well as in countries such as China , India , Brazil , South Africa , Mexico , Russia among others . Our team of experienced educators works closely with teachers to develop customized programs that meet their specific needs while also aligning with national standards for education.
One of our most popular programs is our Global Classroom Exchange program which connects classrooms from different parts of the world through video conferencing technology. Students have the opportunity to interact directly with their peers in real-time while engaging in collaborative projects such as creating murals or writing stories together.
Another program we offer is our Artist-in-Residence program which brings professional artists from around the world into classrooms to work directly with students on creative projects. This program not only exposes students to new artistic techniques but also provides them with valuable mentorship opportunities.
In addition to these programs Creative Connections also offers professional development workshops for teachers who want to incorporate more arts-based learning into their curriculum. These workshops provide educators with practical tools they can use in their own classrooms while also connecting them with a network of like-minded educators from around the world.
At Creative Connections, we believe that education is the key to building a more peaceful and just world. By connecting students from different cultures through art, we hope to inspire a new generation of global citizens who are committed to creating a better future for all.
