Cozy's menu was an unexpected treat. What I had assumed was a standard American breakfast spot is actually a wide selection of dishes with a strong eastern Europe presence. If you're not interested in getting some Dolma or Baklava the menu also contains Salmon sandwiches, lasagna as well as your standard breakfast meals. Nobody could claim that Cozy's doesn't have the meal for them.
After trying both the Lamb burger and the Grilled Tuscan the jury is still out on the quality of the food as both meals were uncharacteristicly bland for such a strong Greek influence but the salad with the Tuscan had a great flavor and the Baklava for dessert was flavorful and juicy, this makes me give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and I'll be returning to see if I can find some better dishes in their large selection.
The service we received from their new waitress Kim was attentive, we never had our glasses close to empty. Sadly this could just be due to the restaurant being empty at 7pm on a Tuesday night.
Overall this is a great place to check out in an area that gets far too dominated by chain restaurants.

The service was horrendous. There were a dozen servers wandering around and essentially doing nothing. Our waitress took our order and that was the last we saw of her. Water wasn't refilled once in over half an hour and the coffee only once. The food was overpriced and looked like it came out of a bag. The omellete was made with the pre-made egg liquid and the hashbrowns and omelletes tasted mainly of cooking oil. Disappointing experience and definitely wouldn't recommend this establishment or patron it again.

This place is pretty expensive if you are looking for some simple down home restaurant cooking and feel. While the food looked like it would be good we didn't order any as we were in sticker shock. I did order an apple pie and was underwhelmed by it. My mom said their coffee while on the expensive side was very tasty. We will not likely go back.

Update: After being to the restaurant a number of different times and days I'd like to add a 'fyi'- The service is highly dependent on when you go. If you go at peak hours it is not AS good or AS fast of service as normal. When the owners are working they also do keep a tight ship with regard to their servers. So. If you do end up going I would suggest you attend during not-peak hours to get the best service and food.

Best restaurant I've tried in a long while. Everything was fresh, tasty, and portioned well. The dining area is extremely well maintained.

We had breakfast at this lovely little French restaurant. I have had Eggs Benedict in many places around Kansas City but Cozy Cafe s version was definitely the most classic. Everything was well seasoned and service was perfect. C est Magnifique! Very comfortable, intimate atmosphere. Very good home cooked food. Moderately priced. Friendly wait staff.

Slightly more expensive than other options in the area, but this small cafe boasts good food that is far more sparce in the grease depatment than alternative choices. The menu does not offer many different types of dining options, but instead favors many different options within each umbrella cast upon.
I reccommend this spot for gentle dining and steady service.

We have eaten here many times over the years. They have good food although the last several times the food is luke warm at best and the service is terribly slow with little more than a grumble greeting. Today the omelet was room temperature and the hollandaise sauce was cold after having to ask for it 3 times. Had to ask for coffee and tea refills. They don t seem to be a very happy group of people. Probably won t be back.

Very authentic home style kitchen. Fresh wonderful food made with care. Please do not miss this pretty little gem. One of the best lamb burgers I've ever had on a wonderfully herbed bun and the stuffed chicken on a stellar red sauce. Homemade desserts that put bakeries to shame.

A nice atmosphere and good food. It was more upscale than a chain restaurant for breakfast yet still informal and comfortable. I had the bacon avocado omelet. I also noticed a case of fresh pies, cakes and creme brulee. I would definitely recommend Cozy's Cafe for breakfast and I am looking forward to trying it for lunch or dinner.
