Conchiglia is a really nice place for lunch, never been there for dinner so beware. The company I work for has a corporate deal with it which means that the food is even more convenient for us. Has a bit of retro/60ies feel to the restaurant itself and the menu is quite varied between mains, meat, fish and pizzas. Pizzas here are very wide and super thin crusted. It is a bit unusual, but deffo worth a try to make your mind. Cream base dishes are some of the ones I prefer the most with tagliatelle made e montin the lead. Nice selections of wines and dessert plus a real italian coffee to tie it up all.

After building up a appetite I suggested we eat to soak up the booze.

After some thought I chanced it here because I had walked past it a few times going to work etc

We had the choice of being seated inside or outside..however the evening was drawing to a close so we opted for in.

Everything was softly lit..and romantic like most Italians I guess? While my friend went to the bathroom a waiter did the wobble test on our table...once stable he placed a pitcher of water on the table.

Both arrived in good time and the portions were fair.

The mains were just as good and with every delivery the waiter would always offer extra cheese and pepper. The service was charming and impeccable and the food good. Don't get me wrong this isn't the best Italian food I've had but it was good and the ambiance and excellent service made it a great evening.

Would I be back? Possibly..only because there are quite a few restaurants to try.

Unlike lots of "Italian" places, Conchiglia has very good tasting authentic food for a reasonable price - have been a couple of times now and have been very pleased, there is a slightly old fashioned feel about the place (in a good sense) which is nice compared to the overly modern restaurants in this area

Divine bruschetta with the sweetness of tomato brought out by the vinegar and the freshly made bread with all that crisp; and love the pizza with flavor just right, and the crisp crust! The prawn spaghetti too, the flavor is well balanced and thickness of the sauce is just right to wrap around the pasta.
However a bit disappointed by the dessert- the pistachio ricotta has a bit too much sour taste (to me, who tried it for the first time) and not enough pistachio flavor; the white chocolate cheese cake is typical New York style cheesecake with a berry layer which is good but not spectacular.
In all the starter and mains are amazing, thus the 5-star.

Nice Tablecloth! Shame about the everything else!
Con by name Con by ******!
No wonder it was completely empty!
We took a gamble and walked in to find the place completely empty (first warning sign)!
We were greeted by a lone waiter who looked exactly like that Spanish guy from Fawlty Towers!
It felt a bit awkward because the man couldn't smile to save his life!
Even though I tried to crack a joke as we were being shown to our table!
My eleven year old looked at me and said "I don't think he got it dad"!
The food was absolutely terrible, the Calamari (no doubt came from the deep freezer) which was chewy and very oily, it came with a tiny slice of discoloured old lemon! And our main dish was Veal Milanese, again it was thick, tough and dripping with oil from their deepfryer, the portion was the smallest we have ever seen in an Italian restaurant, it was served with pathatic two tiny vines of rocket!
The service was lousy and our mains came at different times, not ideal if you are a family of three wanting to eat together!

Our clothes stank of oil for the rest of the day! The oil in their deepfryer must have been there for weeks because the whole restaurant stank of it!
Couldn't wait to get out! Never again!

We went to this restaurant last Thursday for our Christmas Lunch. It delivered in service, food, atmosphere and price. Chain restaurants can't compete with local restaurants like this. If you haven't tried this restaurant please do. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Conchiglia restuarant we have the best Christmas lunch ever. We will be back.

We arrived late on a bank holiday Monday evening. Some restaurants would have rushed us through our meal, not Conchigila. Our host, Giovanni made us feel relaxed & welcome. The menu was varied & interesting catering to all tastes. Our meal was delicious, fresh & full of flavour. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Lovely, authentic little Italian restaurant Charming old school touches, beautiful flavours and fresh dishes. The waiter of 11 years is amazing - he might also be the owner? His gentlemanly service and kind attention to detail is lovely. The place is a little... rustic... the menus could do with throwing out (old/ stained) and simplifying... but otherwise just a real treat. Romantic

This was my first meal out, in almost four months, since the CoVid-19 lockdown began. We couldn't have chosen a better place. The warm welcome, the unfussy but efficient service, the delicious food and the sensible wine list all joined forces to make this a most memorable lunch. We will most certainly be back.

We had a wonderful evening at Conchigila. The food was delicious and we had some special wishes (especially me, because I am vegan). That was no problem! I would love to eat here again.

For a 'set meal' fan this is one of the best menus around. Conchiglia is a delightful rare gem within the anonymous corporate W1 restaurant world.
The various times I've eaten here the main service has been by the owner which is a rare honour in central London. He advises on the seasonal fish dishes which my Father always loves.
My set meal choice is always a great cheesy mushroom pasta sauce with panna cotta pudding.

Ambience is perfect. Decor is just right and should satisfy all preferences - it's not tacky nor dowdy - is well maintained and chairs are comfy! The outside of the restaurant is welcoming and twinkling.

It's a place to be commended on achieving longevity of business, and maintaining a quality standard. Where many local businesses decline, are driven down and drowned by extortionate rents and business rates.

As a Soho resident surrounded by choice, Conghiglia stands out a mile... the mile it takes me to walk there is worth every penny.

A point to remember for visitors to UK. In UK it's possible our portions could be considered unsatisfactorily 'small' compared to American standards (which are huge) And it shouldn't surprise, that on occasion, waiting staff could be under par... this happens in every restaurant, everywhere in London. Here, you get a customised type service which may vary but is always a tasty experience at an amazing price.
I'll always recommend this place and aspire to eat there more. Long may this establishment flourish for the benefit of locals and for visitors.
