A small but intense store dedicated to astronomy. Its display is much larger than the telescope section of B&H flagship store in New York.

The people are knowledgeable and take an interest in talking to you, to answer your queries. Of course, this shop is not for the novices - the equipment is top grade and needs serious amateurs and professionals to do justice to what thy have on offer.

I have been working with Company 7, on and off, for many years. They have provided scopes and services to our company as well as myself as an amateur astronomer. This may be one of the last brick and mortar stores were you can see a large inventory / museum of an unimaginable array of optics and equipment. Martin, William and company are top tier experts. I would consider them "Doctors" in their field. I don't know anywhere in the united states, perhaps the world, where the average Joe can open the door and obtain this level of advice or buying services. They will simply not accept a sub par instrument from a manufacturer. If you are NASA, they can help. If you have an 8 year old wanting a first scope, there is no better place to get it. You DON'T want their first "seeing" experience to discourage their future as a possible aerospace professional. This can be accomplished with a well tuned, budget friendly, solution if you get the right scope.

In my opinion, this is the only place to buy a telescope.

I started shopping here back in 2008. When I walked in as a novice I was blown away by the store. Marty who owns the store was there and immediately greeted me. He took the time to show me items and break down the science behind a lot of the items and why certain ones were better than others. I returned almost daily on my lunch break just to talk to Marty and learn. He was more than happy to chat it up and teach me things during my breaks. I love this store. I have since moved over an hour away so I have not visited for awhile but look to visit soon as I am falling back into this hobby.

Just purchased my first telescope, from Company 7. The staff was very helpful in the decision making process. I'm glad I went to this local store, and received excellent service. I'll be back.

Not friendly. Unless you bought all your gear through them, then maybe. I called to get some minor help with my scope but since I was not a regular customer, they made it clear that they had no intention of helping me. I was told to "try the web" and don't let the door hit me on the way out. No problem I said as I tried to understand. But I'll just be taking ALL my business elsewhere now and in the future!

Been a customer for years. One of a very few, if not the only, dedicated telescope and optics stores in the US. The service is great! Professional optics shop. Run by professionals and catering to everyone. No commisdions for the sales staff (2) means they wont up-sell you. BUT...they deal in quality across and wont BS you either. Great folks! P.S. the showroom is a museum, too!

I just spoke with William re my interest in purchasing a good pair of binoculars. I am a retiree interested in amateur astronomy. William is a considerate and well-informed listener who patiently worked me through the options and price ranges. Although I could not take him on his offer to show me various products, as I am out of state, he was very helpful.
