CollegeNET, Inc. is a Portland, Oregon-based, privately held company providing Intelligent Connections® web-based on-demand technologies to colleges, universities, and non-profits.
CollegeNET, Inc. is a leading provider of Intelligent Connections® web-based on-demand technologies to colleges, universities, and non-profits. Based in Portland, Oregon, the company has been providing innovative solutions to higher education institutions for over 20 years.
The company's flagship product is the CollegeNET ApplyWeb®, an online application system that streamlines the admissions process for colleges and universities. The platform allows students to apply to multiple schools with just one application and provides institutions with a comprehensive suite of tools for managing applications, reviewing candidates, and making admissions decisions.
In addition to ApplyWeb®, CollegeNET offers a range of other products designed specifically for higher education institutions. These include CourseMatch™, an online course search tool that helps students find courses that match their interests and schedules; AlumniFinder™, a powerful alumni database management system; and Event Management System (EMS), which enables organizations to manage events more efficiently.
One of the key strengths of CollegeNET is its commitment to innovation. The company invests heavily in research and development to ensure that its products remain at the forefront of technology trends in higher education. This focus on innovation has led CollegeNET to develop several groundbreaking products over the years.
For example, ApplyWeb® was one of the first online application systems available when it was launched in 1997. Since then, it has evolved into a sophisticated platform that incorporates advanced features such as mobile optimization and social media integration.
Another example is CourseMatch™ which uses artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to match students with courses based on their academic history and personal preferences. This technology represents a significant advance over traditional course search tools which rely solely on keyword searches or manual browsing.
CollegeNET's commitment to innovation has not gone unnoticed by industry experts either. The company has won numerous awards over the years including recognition from organizations such as EdTech Digest Awards Program and Campus Technology Readers' Choice Awards.
But what really sets CollegeNET apart from its competitors is its focus on creating Intelligent Connections® between people rather than just providing software solutions. This philosophy underpins everything they do from product design through customer support.
For example, ApplyWeb® includes features like "ApplyMaps" which allow applicants see where other applicants are applying from around world so they can connect with each other before arriving at campus - this creates community even before classes start!
Similarly CourseMatch™ connects students who share similar interests or backgrounds so they can form study groups or clubs together - this fosters collaboration among peers beyond classroom walls!
Overall CollegeNet's mission statement says it all: "To create intelligent connections between people who want opportunities." And this mission drives everything they do - whether it's developing cutting-edge software solutions or providing exceptional customer service - all aimed at helping colleges/universities/non-profits achieve their goals while empowering individuals seeking opportunities!
