My first experience in this hospital was overwhelming. I was referred to medical oncology department and for the first time in my life I felt that there are still some doctors who are extremely generous. Because people often experience harassment mainly by doctors of cancer department in hospitals around West Bengal. If a doctor isn't open to the patient or the patient party then it's bad for both of them. Dr. Rajeev Bhattacharya is such a generous doctor in the hospital. You may find few of them arrogant and not communicative. But almost all of them are excellent doctors. CNCI is the best cancer hospital for low cost treatment in West Bengal. Cancer treatment is also available in free of cost in CMC, SSKM, NRS but for consultant and better treatment you must visit CNCI.

So don't hesitate to visit CNCI because it is in free of cost to visit an oncologist. Please don't waste your time in hesitation where to go for best cancer treatment after your near and dear one is diagnosis with cancer. Immediately visit a cancer hospital then take your decision.

Absolutely shocking treatment in this so called Cancer institute my mother has been admitted for 2 months about 10 tests have been performed each test had to be carried out externally none in the hospital now NO MAJOR TREATMENT IS CARRIED OUT DOCTOR NEYAZ ALAM WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HER TREATMENT IS AWAY FOR ALMOST 2 WEEKS HER LIFE IS AT STAKE JUST WASTE OF TIME ,MONEY MORE IMPORTANTLY LIFE ,IF ANYONE IS PLANNING TO ARRANGE CANCER TREATMENT PLEASE DO NOT STEP INTO THIS HOSPITAL WHICH IS A WASTE AND THE WORST PLACE UNIMAGINABLE I want to escalate more but the board and the govt. Is even more unreliable not helpful at all for us all we need is money thats all no humanity in Kolkata

TRY TO AVOID THIS HOSPITAL.

The behaviour of nurses and an old short height " aya" were just worst.

They will force you to purchase medicine and chemo from one particular shop else you and your patient will be treated as trespassers.

THERE WAS NO SPECIAL CARE FOR CRITICAL CONDITION PATIENT.

I LOST my grandmother just because of their negligence and invisible internal politics between doctors and nurses group.

It doesn't matter who works here. Here is what you can say about how the treatment is. If someone decides that they will be treated at this hospital, they will be a little relieved to see your criticism.

Chittaranjan National Cancer Hospital is a very good cancer hospital for the people of west bengal. It is situated at Hazra more and opposite side of Ashutosh College. People also come from Jatin Das Park metro Station. Free treatment facility available for the people who is belongs to Below Poverty Line. Necessary documents to avail free treatment, BPL Ration Card, income certificate from BDO, SDO or DM. With these documents you will contact to room number 123.

I have personal relationship with some doctors and they are very good in all respects. Equipments used in this institution are also of good quality. As far as I know.

Gynaecological Dept & Oncology Dept Doctors & staff are best. Especially Dr. Puja Chatterjee, Dr. Diapannita, Dr. Mondal (HOD), Dr. Manisha, Dr. K.K. Mukherjee (HOD), Dr. Nath & Dr. Raya.
Treatment is par excellence. They jointly had treated my close friend Baby Biswas for last 2 years.

Best hospital for cancer treatment in eastern India. The Gyno doctors are great specially Dr. Pooja Chatterjee, Dr. Dipannita & HOD Dr. Mandal. Onco dept docts like Dr. Raya, Dr. K K Mukherjee & Dr. Partha Nath are excellent.

All the doctors have helped my Pisi Baby Biswas recover and live for an extended period with quality of life.

These doctors are performing even with severe limitations.

With the help and support of Dr. B.C. Roy, an eminent physician and the then Chief Minister of West Bengal, the foundation of the present day Chittaranjan Cancer Hospital (CCH) was laid. The hospital was formally inaugurated by Prof. Madam J. Curie in January 2, 1950 and named after Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das, as a tribute to and in acknowledgement of the enormous donation of his land and property for the cause. Initially this was a cancer treatment centre, which gradually expanded its activities in basic and clinical research with the assistance from government funding organizations. The institute was and continues to be a centre of doctoral and postdoctoral training for young scientists. During the last five years research departments at CNCI have undergone reorganization of the infrastructure.

Govt should spend money towards its infrastructures and medical equipments.I agree that in low cost people are being treated, but cancer patients need very hygienic atmosphere..junior doctors argues with patient family if patient family try to communicate with the senior doctor..ehy such ego comes???..... these should be taken care of by the govt. some doctors have started to think themselves as god , so

But when you will arrive here
Staffs will say there is no testing facility.
Every staff behaves rudely.

If u have enough maney and u want your patient alived, then admit another cancer hospital like Tata mumbai, not here.you can't get proper treatment from here.

WORST PLACE FOR TREATMENT. BEHAVIOR OF STAFFS VERY POOR

It is regional Cancer center in West Bengal funded by government of India. The land was donated by very famous Patriot deshbandhu chittranjan das.so many departments are there eg medicine oncology, surgical oncology, radiotherapy, cal oncology etc.... Various types of patients come from different parts of Eastern India.patients loads are too high. As a result sometimes expectations are not full filled.as a whole it has a remarkable contribution in serving nation to fight cancer

That receptionist in the chemo department should be sacked. She must remember that Karma always bites back. Such rude behaviour.

Good public sector hospital with advanced treatment technology...

what are the out door dates of chittaranjan cancer hospital

As a Non Hodgkin Lymphoma patient I got wrong treatment over here and I was under observation of the head of the department of that institute. After got 7 chemo they told that might there is a chance of miss out of one major medicine,how they can be so irresponsible in these type of cases.

Very poor behaviour from the doctor and disease diagnosis is very very poor .
I understood after visiting Tata memorial Hospital, Mumbai. For my father's rectal cancer treatment. CNCI totally failed to staging the cancer. I suggest if you want cancer treatment in westbengal don't visit CNCI better to visit SSKM(PG) or netaji subhas ,thakur pukur.

Superb Institute for cancer patients. Last 2 directors of the Institute are like God, facilities are very good.
