My kids are attending Clearview Primary and I couldn't be happier with the school. The teachers are exceptional and truly care about the students' success. Clearview Primary offered a solid educational experience, fostering a secure atmosphere with minimal bullying. The curriculum placed a strong emphasis on developing time management and independent study habits, which served as an excellent bridge to secondary education. Their collaboration with Rolleston College was particularly helpful, keeping students informed about the key skills needed for NCEA success. I appreciated how they struck a good balance between academic focus and enjoyable activities.

Attending Clearview Primary in Rolleston was a letdown, largely because the culture felt quite elitist. It seemed like the staff viewed students with a sense of superiority, which made the experience less enjoyable. The curriculum felt underdeveloped, and I didn’t feel I was getting the education I deserved. It was also obvious that certain teachers showed a clear bias toward the more popular kids. Given these issues, I wouldn’t recommend the school.

Clearview Primary feels surprisingly cramped compared to schools with more open campuses. I’m a former student, and the mixed-age classes are a bit odd. Just wish there was more room to breathe.

I find Clearview Primary to be a somewhat average option. While the campus offers plenty of room, the structure of having mixed-age cohorts is a bit of a double-edged sword. It definitely has its advantages, but it also brings challenges that make me question if it’s the right fit. Based on my experience, I would rate it a 1 out of 5.

I can't say enough good things about Clearview Primary. The leadership team, starting with the principal, truly goes above and beyond for students and their families. When our eldest faced bullying, the school handled the situation swiftly, and he hasn't had any issues with those boys since. The teachers are genuinely invested—they listen closely and keep parents well-informed about any developments. I'm also impressed by the wide range of opportunities they offer, which requires a lot of extra effort on the staff's part. It's clear they care enough to make those experiences happen. The teacher aides are also a fantastic addition to the school community.
