Attended a TopGolf night with a friend who owns a company. Since that night, I've been getting LinkedIn sales pitches out the wazoo from people from various countries, who mention the specific platforms that partnered on that TopGolf night (Klaviyo, etc) and the name of that company that I went to TopGolf night with (which I'm not actually affiliated with whatsoever). We asked them to quote us on a specific task. The response was, "It will take 5-7 hours to complete and that will be at our normal rate" (equates to $625.00 - $875.00). Then I asked another development company the same question and their response was, it will only take 15 minutes at the most, it's simple and it will be a freebie. The only reason I didn't give a 1 star is that the project manager was always nice and polite.
