Great selection. Great prices for used CDs and DVDs. Lots of floor space. Close to home. Best surprises are when I wander over to a section of interesting titles to physically look at and compare that do not pop into mind when sitting at a computer and buying online.

It's the best! If you're at all interested in movies, you're going to CineFile. They've got almost everything. It's great for both coming in with a list or browsing without an agenda. Top-tier selection of region-coded discs so you can see all sorts of international insanity. The guys who work there are great as well.

When I ask for recommendations they reply with questions of their own, such as what genre or time period are you in the mood for, followed by a dialogue which completes with an excellent choice. Thanks guys, you maybe far from where I live but it is always worth the drive

The store is so cool and stylish I was in constant awe, but also really comfortable. The collection of movies is so deep and varied that it really is a film buff s dream. There are dozens of different categories and they are also divided by director. It s important to keep in mind that this is a rental store, there are only a couple of items for sale.
It was a pleasure seeing so many quality movies to choose from. And also the dude on the counter was incredibly nice and helpful. I love it.

I absolutely love this place. They have such a big collection! They also do exchanges too if you have items in your collection that you want to share with the world. I've gotten at least five used DVDs from this place. I've also given them at least eight from my collection.

Finally made it here. While not as large or as well-stocked as the Hollywood location, I found a number of CDs in classical to round out my collection, and a near mint AC-DC record for $20. A bit steep, but it yielded a first pressing that was pristine and pleasing.

I rarely venture into the music section of this establishment mainly because I'm a cineaphile. I'm pretty sure I have never walked out of Amoeba without a few dvd's in my hand. I'm addicted to buying movies and sometimes they have unbelievable deals in their clearance section.

I didn t get to spend too much time here because I was watching an indie film next-door, but their selection is pretty extensive. They seem to have a lot of being movies including foreign and titles that might be hard to find elsewhere. I also know you can rent from there. If you live close by and check it out

The guys that work here are so knowledgeable. Everytime I've been researching a topic they always point me to new and interesting finds. Unless your a super film nerd it can be a bit intimidating trying to navigate this store but if there is something in particular you want the guys here are friendly and will help you find it. Otherwise I think their category system is great as I've stumbled onto many gems thanks to it.

I first learned about this purported Heaven for audiophiles in a magazine article almost 20 years ago. Ergo, WiFi was merely nonexistent back then while the cool kids were adding each other on Friendster. The early 20's version of myself made it a goal to set foot in what's one of the few bastions of establishments that primarily sell physical music media i.e. vinyl and CD's

Turns out I loved this business enough to BUY it. I'm the new owner and it's a whole new feel in the shop. Come check us out. Customer service and a helpful attitude is our number one priority.

Why rent from an indie video rental? Because you WILL find movies that blow you away that you would never even have heard of otherwise.

Cinefile introduced me to the erotic brilliance that is Randy Metzger, the better version of DRIVE, entitled BULLHEAD, and the low budget, high quality storytelling that is DREDD.

I love these guys and you will too. Netflix just ain't enough for the true movie lover.

Three bins of CDs devoted just to The Fall, including rare boots and live shows. THREE. BINS. That's more Fall records in this location than can probably be found in every record store in my home state of Minnesota. Just an incredible quantity and variety of music on offer here, including vinyl (new, vintage and collectables). Bonus items include a great selection of music themed books, as well as the expected tee shirts and novelty items. Prices are fair as the day is long. If this store were in my home town I'd move in.
