One Star Rating Out Of Five... The manager was very rude. My family and I were celebrating my wife's birthday. I'm the designated driver, so I'm drinking coffee. Before leaving, our server gave me a "to go" cup that I can take home with me. As I'm walking out the door, the "bouncer" says, "you can't take that out of here". I responded, "Sir, it's coffee". He took the cup out of my hand and started to throw it away. I said, "Excuse you, I paid for that and it just coffee". I continued to ask why I couldn't take the coffee with me but the "bouncer" wouldn't give me a reason. Then I said "Sir, please explain why I cannot take this with me " he responded with, "How about this, you go a get your coffee some place else". I took the coffee from him and said, "No, I'll finish drinking it". I got a manager and asked him why, he said "It's the law, you can't take any drinks out because you could have put alcohol in the coffee". He was extremely rude about it. I asked, "Why are other restaurants that server alcohol letting customers take "to go" cups with them? and why would the server give me a cup to take home if it wasn't aloud?" he had no response. I know why, because this place sucks and the manager was sticking up for his employee and not the customer. I won't go there again, Hard Times is better establishment anyway.

Awesome food and literally the BEST live music set up I've seen in a sports bar EVER. Come prepared to dance on any given Thursday, Friday, or Saturday! Their 90s partys are INSANE btw.

Food was mediocre, service was trash, and it was expensive. However, the wings did taste very good. I'm the easiest critic and I'm still giving it 2 stars.

I've been here three different times now and each time I've gone here I had nothing but bad and miserable waitresses. They need a better training at customer service and at least smile when they deal with people! I'll probably never go back ever again and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Awesome, open, spacious. Try the drink called Dirty Bong Water. It s fantastic.

Good typical bar food. Steak, BLTs, chicken quesadillas are great. Good trivia venue. Typical sports bar with darts and billiards. Fifteen to twenty billiards tables.

Maryland sports bar. Good ales, atmosphere and vittles..Canadians in for Golf tourney. Good times..

Service is decent. My beer was served with about 33% head, and it wasn't as cold as I would have liked. The billiard tables are in good shape and there are a ton of them. Just be prepared to be eyeballed by the league players if you aren't fantastic at billiards. Overall there just isn't really anything that makes Champions stick out as a great place.

1st time I went was great second time was terrible. Walked in around 12:30 was told to have a seat someone will be with us shortly. No one showed up til 1:07 and we was told we couldn t order food the kitchen closed at 1am, smh.

They water down their drinks. The waitresses usually forget someones order while there. I also find some of the other customers to be quite abrasive. It is a bar setting so you occasionally get your fights that break out.

All the fighting and macho going on can be expected to an extent at a sports bar, however, the watering down of the expensive drinks, and adding ice to overflow the glass, is over the top. The honey bbq wings are good but the nachos are sub par.

Fun place to hang out. The food is so so, but there is normally love entertainment.

The overall experience was meh, but the positive was our server she was great. My popcorn chicken was dry,and that is what I'm basing the review on. The facility was nice and I saw the potential that place could have on weekends and game days. I was disappointed with the selection of wedding choices but that could be the area I'm currently in. (I'm guessing the south likes Lemon pepper wings more because you Can find them almost everywhere). Back to the popcorn chicken. A lot of it was all bread with no meat in it. That is my only other issue with the place

Champions is a great place to grab a few reasonably priced drinks, eat some better than normal bar food and shoot some pool. They get pretty busy, but always get your drink and food to you promptly. They have trivia night and other stuff that I'm not really into, but still sets them apart from other billiard places.

Only pool-hall around for miles, with prices that reflect that fact.

First time I m there and it looked pretty cool, the bartender told me about the 1/2 prices burgers so I ordered one and a beer. 45 minutes later I asked about the order and they told me that they must ve run out of paper in the back because there was no order in the system. I guess it s good that there r a lot of restaurants in the area to try next.

I was given an opportunity to exhult my skillful and steady hand at placing balls in special pockets on a green table with a stick. My present company was engulfed in ecstatic pleasure as they disappeard into the corners seemingly with no efforrt. It was a fun place!

We went tonight for a group meet up. We did not enjoy our experience. My chair had a large gash across the cushion and I wish that was the worst thing that happened.

The place is large and the drinks are good. There are pool tables available but all were occupied for the two hours we were there.

There's a cover to get into the restaurant after 8. They were having live music but the full hour before the group went on stage they cranked the music up so we could no longer hear our friends. They continually raised the sound between each song and had a 10 decible jump for one. It was so noticable we had to start shouting to talk to the person next to us. Ultimately we left right before the band began as their sound check was deafening.

The service was absolutely abysmal. Our server listed as Lisa S on the check was unattentive, short, forgot drink orders and disappeared for long periods of time. When trying to get the check, she dropped it off and left for ten minutes before waiting on a table of her friends by the dart board. Ultimately we had to take the card and check up to her and it took several minutes before she brought it back. The entire time she looked angry, certainly not the face of someone who wanted to be waiting on us

The cheese steak was unremarkable, the hamburger had a soggy bun and overall lacked seasoning. I'd ordered blackened chicken strips but what I got was some boiled strips that had not been trimmed of fat, were briefly placed on a grill and then sprinkled with a tiny amount of seasoning. I took one bite and returned them. The server was rude about it, saying "haven't you had them before? That's how we make them." I don't know of any establishment that would try and pass those off as edible.

It was our first time and from this we won't be returning.

Used to love this place. Drinks have no alcohol. Service is terrible. Food is very average and everything is overpriced. Change in ownership and management was terrible. Will not be open for long as competition strengthens around it.

Great service! The family of 5 went there to play darts. It wasn't crowded at first but since it was poker night it got crowded quick. Lisa did a great job getting our orders and drinks to us. Thank you Lisa!

Fun bar. Big, prices are pretty good. Decent food too.

It was a little pricey for me. The burger was dry and not very tasteful. The beer was really cold though. Would probably only go again just because of its location.

A surprisingly great time. Jen was a wonderful waitress. The place is huge, more than enough room to play the games without fighting people for it. I loved the stage for the band! My odd comment, they have good toilet paper!!!!!!!! Kudos.

While the food/drink is pretty good and the pool tables are stable and well kept, the service is hit or miss.

Nice place for hanging out with friends, playing pool, getting a bite to eat, watching sports and singing karaoke if you are brave enough and in my case, sadistic enough).

Manager was incredibly rude. Ruined my appetite and my mood. Server seemed clueless too.

The help is good. The food is decent for a sports bar. Nice that they offer a menu late night.. the manager, Mike, could use some better social mannerisms and a much better haircut

Burgers are good. Some nights they offer karaoke or trivia. If you're not participating, it can be very loud.

I had an issue with a manager but the owner stepped in to resolve it.
Back to loving this place. Great place to watch a game, see a local band or shoot pool and play poker.
Hard working staff including the bartenders Reggie and Fernando keep your glasses fill all the time!
Great happy hour and free food during happy hour on Fridays!

They didn't play a variety of music which was disappointing when we wanted to dance. The band was ok. The drinks weren't the greatest but the service was good. I'll try it again and see what it's like

Its a bit expensive. I can get better food and beer or even play pool down the street. Good for large crowds or events.

Great service from a very attentive and responsive bar staff. TV coverage was above par but my only concern is the quality of food. It wasn't terrible but it certainly wasn't five stars.

Some of the best live music around. When we were in the area had one of the best nights in Frederick. Great staff and food. Thx Guys

My wife and I visited Champion Billards for our Anniversary trip to Washington DC. We stayed outside DC in Frederick MD.

Champions was absolutely wonderful! From the Live band every Saturday night, to the 100 oz Beer tower. Champions nailed it! Food was absolutely delicious. I got the Philly Cheese Steak as did my wife. The dish was wonderful & the homemade French fries were a delicious surprise!

Pool is by an hourly pro-rated rate. So don't despair if you can't finish an hour.

Service was fast and courteous! We had two different servers due to shift change, and both were extremely good at their job!

We took an Uber to and fro from our hotel. Very easy place to get to. I can't wait to go back again next summer!

Large But Friendly Sports Bar
Local beer on tap. Try the Flying Dog. Plenty of TV screens for sports. Separate room with many pool tables. Fairly large menu. I enjoyed the pizza. Food and drinks priced lower than other local bars.

Good food, lots of televisions, great place to watch football. Huge billiards room. Great promenade shops.

Attempted to go inside 2 times already and have not made it through the door yet without them telling me I have to pay to enter the place. $10/person cover charge @ 3pm on a Saturday Afternoon is ridiculous!!! The night before was $15/person.

Been at this place for the 3rd time and service was very slow and food still like from a cafateria. Lots of good games to play though.

I have eaten there twice now and the burger and sandwich was very good, the fries are average and a little overcooked, will try the in house chips next. The pool tables are very good with lively corners so beware

It can a bit loud being as they have every NFL game on the screen. No contention from fans on opposing teams. Decent food and drinks.
