I went on the Glyde River canoe experience. Unfortunately my fellow 11 year old canoeist had a bit of a panic & couldn't paddle so it was a good workout for me to say the least. The team were amazing & very supportive & friendly. I can't wait to go back again solo or with another fellow canoeist for the double canoe. Its a beautiful river & lovely people.

My daughter visited on Tuesday as part of a school tour and sorry to say she didn't enjoy the experience, apparently the few warm up exercises lasted a while, then they were digging holes and sandcastle building which seems a little unexciting for their age group (11 -12yr olds,) finishing off with some archery. Herself and some classmates did have complaints about the lack of toilet roll and hand washing/drying facilities in the very basic toilet area, and lastly it was relayed to me that one staff member did direct a comment at a girl which seemed unprofessional on his part. As this trip was an expensive one for a school tour you would expect to hear the children had a great experience hopefully doing something new or different ,unfortunately mine said it was her worst ever trip and really didn't enjoy the place a few others I asked for their opinion didn't seem overjoyed by the experience either. From reviews I can see some have enjoyed their visit, these are from smaller groups or individuals so maybe there are difficulties when dealing with larger groups ?
