Catch5 began life as a video ad delivery platform. As part of that development, the Company created a robust fraud detection and network monitoring toolset to enhance ad performance and increase overall levels of user engagement. Through this work, the Company was able to consistently deliver results 2X to 4X over competitive offerings, predict system and service outages well in advance of its agency clients, and expose high levels of traffic fraud on some of the largest ad campaigns and traffic networks.
Given the overwhelming need for such solutions (numerous studies estimate 25% to 50% of all online traffic is fake), coupled with the success of our detection toolset, we made a decision in Q3 2013 to develop a specialized fraud monitoring and management platform for publishers, agencies, advertisers and large brands. Our easy to deploy solution works like an email spam filter, identifying and blocking fake traffic from ad campaigns.
