We stumbled upon Cass Winery in Paso Robles while scouting locations for an outdoor wedding in California, and it turned out to be the right choice. The venue is stunning, and our special day was absolutely flawless. We hosted an intimate gathering, with the ceremony held beneath a majestic oak tree and the reception nestled among the vineyards. The bistro-style food and wines were top-notch, and the staff provided exceptional service throughout the event. It’s a wonderful spot for weddings of any size, and we are thrilled we celebrated there. Thank you to everyone!

What a pleasant surprise! We arrived early to our bed-and-breakfast back in October and our host suggested we go to Cass winery for some tasting. We went there and were so surprised and thrilled with the whole flight that we were given for tasting. Rarely do we find that we like every wine on the flight. It was great. We went back a few days later and had lunch oh my gosh! It was delicious! We enjoyed another flight as well!

Met with some friends to take our own horses for a ride. Wanted to get a bite to eat prior to the ride. Staff indicated it would be a 40 minute wait. So we decided to make a reservation for the 3 of us for after the ride. Make our reserved time, am asked if I had a preference on seating. I stated we had just been riding and would like something outside in the breeze as we were quite warm. Had to wait approximately 10 minutes for our reserved table, which was inside the tasting room. We eventually left because there was absolutely no air moving inside and when asked if the fans could be turned on, we were told no. Maybe next time...

We walked over from our Hipcamp and showed up without lunch reservations. They were super accommodating, finding us a table and taking care of our little dog Rex. The food, wine and service were outstanding. We ended up joining the wine club which was reasonably priced.

My friends and I were out on a bike ride and tasting wine. We stopped in at Cass Winery and ordered lunch. The food was very good and as we ate we were served tastings of their wine. I'm in the wine industry and to me the wines were of excellent quality. Everything about our visit to the winery was well done.

Amazing wines. Great service, beautiful venue. Rare to have every wine we tasted hit just the right notes! We are visiting for our anniversary and got to Paso Robles early. Decided to use the extra time to visit Cass, and were we glad we did. We carried the Viognier when we owned a wine bar in Washington State, and all the whites were fantastic. Try the Rockin Ted and Rockin One red blends side by side...really fun.

Just had our wedding at Cass Winery this last September, and all I can say is that it was perfect! We used the Cass Event Manager, Kelley, as our Day of Coordinator, who went above and beyond to make the day everything we had imagined. Cass winery is a breathtaking venue, but Kelley's professionalism was really what sold us on Cass as our venue. Leading up to the wedding, she helped us tremendously with planning our layouts, setting up our rentals, and coordinating with our vendors. One of the best parts about having our wedding at Cass was that they are one of the only wineries in the area with a kitchen, so they were able to provide all of the food for our wedding. Their chef, Jacob, has his own garden at the winery, and uses as much produce from his garden or local farms as he can. On the day of the wedding, Kelley and her staff run a seamless and professional operation. Kelley made sure everything happened according to our timeline, and improvised when we needed her to. Some of our family friends helped us out with the wedding who are part of the business in the Bay Area, and they said that Cass Winery's staff were some of the most professional and well run staffs they have ever worked with. We will definitely recommend Cass to anyone that we know as a wedding venue, and as a winery to visit if they are in the area.

We fell in love with Cass Winery when we had lunch here after visiting our wedding venue for the first time. The food is absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend the burger or the pulled pork sandwich. I am pretty sure we became wine members on our first visit. We really wanted to do our rehearsal dinner here at Cass but at the end of the day .we realized our rehearsal dinner was going to be anything but intimate, and ending up opting for a welcome party at a brewery for budget s sake. BUT we did decide to organize a massive wine tasting the day before the wedding and this was our first (and favorite) stop. I worked with management for quite some time and everything was executed flawlessly. We had little sliders, veggies, and cheese platter which ended up being way more food than I anticipated. The wine, we already know is so so so good. Definitely our most expensive stop but 100% worth it. Did I mention we had like 80 people wine tasting? We had everyone set up under the oak tree. People have been asking about Cass ever since! Side note, had we not already considered a venue for the wedding this would have been a top contender. I love everything about Cass, the wine, the food, the property. A lovely place to hold an event. Thanks for hosting us!

Beautiful spot with very nice wines at moderate prices for this region. Friendly and helpful staff... AND some of the best gourmet lunch choices you'll find (try the crab cakes or the amazing herbed chicken breast sandwich with tomatoes, red aioli and more, served on a fresh crisp roll, with fresh home made potato chips sprinkled with a dusting of shaved cheese and a side of white aioli. Think I liked it? Oh yeah...). And, contrary to another reviewer's comment, I am neither family nor friend, I not do I have any financial interest in the winery and, no, I am not in the local Chamber of Commerce. I'm just a local, who patronizes many of our Paso Robles vineyards and this happens to be a good one to visit.

Honestly the food was great but the wine not so much. The location also didn t have anything special but I loved their food and ice cream so maybe if I go back for another tasting, I might have a diffrent opinion about the wine but definatly not this time.
For food try the pulled pork sandwich and chicken salad and the crab cake.

We had a nice little lunch at a table service under a tree here, and got to stop wine here. Picturesque idyllic images and a sense of humor are abundant her but the wines are overpriced. There are many better wines for less money in PR so I will probably just visit here once.

Had a wonderful experience here in spite of COVID restrictions! Wine tasting and lunch on the outdoor patio at Cass was nothing less than spectacular. Our waiter was patient, knowledgeable, and looked to be heavily overworked, but powered through with smiles, quips, and heavy pours.. Much appreciated, the food, wine, and service, after our drive down from the Bay Area. Looking forward to returning, booking a room and horse riding experience!

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our December wedding in Paso Robles. The team at Cass Winery truly helped us create an unforgettable celebration. Hosting our reception in the barrel room was a hit—there was plenty of space for dancing, and the option to open the doors to the deck allowed us to enjoy the ceremony outdoors while staying cozy. Even with the rain all weekend, Michelle and her crew kept everything running smoothly and anticipated every need. Their attention to detail made the planning process stress-free. A huge factor in our choice was the exceptional food and wine; having a custom menu crafted by the chef resulted in compliments from our guests that are still coming in. Cass Winery delivered on every promise, and we highly recommend this bistro venue and its wonderful staff.

Beautiful site, view, scenery! and the food, while pricy I can honestly say it was good. Service, not so good (underline and bold that). I don't know if it was the time of day, our group, or simply the server. Due to poor cell phone and internet reception, we were not able to see the menu for quiet sometime. After a while, our server showed up and advices us that we could use WiFi, but she had not given us the pass word. Despite having the correct password, all 7 of us STILL COULD NOT connect. Place seemed pretty busy , presumably everyone using their WiFi cause for it to run low. I am not a techie person, I am just guessing here. She finally decides to brings us paper menus, only to learn when she returned to take our order that she brought outdated menus. We have been there approx 20 to 30 min already, our order has not even been taken yet. FINALLY we are about to order, and one of my group members asked about the wine tasting option and how it works? our server said in a very stern tone "let's do food first"...we looked at each other; and just ordered.
I felt like I was at the principals office, being told how to leisure; next one of my group members, ordered a "Sprite", server responds we don't sell soft drinks and that was the end of that...So, I mentioned how there is other non alcoholic options, but the server did not bother to clarify that they do have Iced Tea and some Lemonade, isn't her job to serve, help, sell. At this point, I am feeling a bit uncomfortable, because we are doing everything right, and i can't help but feel like this is a race issue. Was it because we are brown? I looked around and don't immediately see any other minority group around us. Cleared my head and proceeded to make our visit pleasant and looked forward to my meal. Mind you, we all ordered, we all got our food...BUT NEVER had a follow up on the the "wine tasting" option. ALSO NOTE, we had reservations. So, I proceed to ask the server. She did not look to enthusiastic but took our order for tasting, at this point, from all 7 of us, only 2 of us decided to do the tasting. She pours with limited info...the option had (6) tastes, which we only completed 5, as our server forgot about us. I had to remind her, and ask if we were getting to taste the last one. She poured and with a a semi grin apologized. We got our food tab, paid and we were done. Never got to the option to order from the list of wines we tasted. NEEDLESS to say, this place will not be at my top or bottom option to return. We live in a very complex world and the last thing I want as a consumer is to undermined because of the color of my skin. We were a party of 7 with a food tab of over $175 dollars. We tipped our server 20% not because she deserved it, but because we wanted to make a point. I probably would have considered becoming a member, since the winery we visited prior to arriving here raved about this place, by the end of this not pleasant experience, i even considered to at least order 3 of the bottles of the tasting options. I know that will not make or break the success of your winery. But I feel it was important for you to know of my experience. Please educate your servers. Public interaction is a skill and they are the very front of your operation. How good or bad the experience lies heavily on the service and experience from the server.

I went there recently for lunch as a first "outing" since wineries were allowed to re-open. I did not feel safe at all. The staff was hard-working however the lack of consistent attention to safety measures was very evident. A few masks on servers, lack of social distancing, hygienic approach to table cleaning.

This winery was one of my absolute favorites while visiting California! The views were gorgeous, all of the wines were delicious, the food was very good, the staff was friendly. It had a rustic, country, cozy feel to it; not anything like the big commercial wineries. I could spend all day here drinking wines, relaxing, and taking in the views. And another bonus, the staff were not pushy at all like some wineries can be.

We chose Cass Winery for our wedding back in July 2019, and it was the right decision. Michelle and her staff were incredibly attentive and professional from the very first inquiry. The coordination was flawless, making the whole process stress-free. Beyond the excellent service, the venue itself is stunning. Our ceremony under the oak tree was picturesque, and the reception in the barrel room felt intimate yet grand. I especially appreciated how they opened the glass doors to let guests spill onto the veranda under the stars once the dancing began. The food and wine pairs were outstanding, matching the beautiful Paso Robles setting perfectly. It truly was the best day of our lives, and Cass played a huge part in making that happen.

We were really disappointed after reading the reviews for this restaurant and winery. Maybe those were written by friends and family? The food was almost as disinterested as the server. The wines were OK but we only tried two since the server never set us up with a tasting nor did he ask if we wanted more. It did seem like he was more interested in the other tables so maybe they were regulars.

All in all it was a poor choice for lunch although the setting of the veranda was indeed lovely. There are so many choices in El Paso de Robles for wine and/or food, you would do well to avoid this one. The rest of the places we visited in Paso Robles were wonderful and welcoming.

We (Applemoon Photography) really enjoy photographing weddings at Cass Winery. In particuar, we love nuptials held underneath their giant oak tree surrounded by vineyards, sunset receptions with warm lighting details, and Kelly their event/wedding coordinator who is wonderful!

Absolutely amazing! Unfortunately had a library tasting that got canceled due to a family emergency, but couldn't be happier with the service and hospitality we received! Philly and staff were incredible! Extremely knowledgeable and great service! To say that we were taken care of 100% is an understatement!!! Beautiful views as well!! We will definitely be back and I'm referring Cass to all our friends and family!!! Thanks again for this memorable day!
