Looking through the reviews, it's no surprise that others have spoken so highly of the same consultant that I've dealt with for the last year - the fantastic Lauren Wood! So much so that I'm sad that I'll no longer be dealing with her (not because she's leaving, but because I'm moving to another part of London)! With that said, my experiences with Career Teachers have been fantastic; they've helped me with regular work as and when I need it, to fit around my schedule, and helped me form solid relationships with schools where I've become familiar, aiding me in receiving regular work.
If you are looking for an agency to join and are a little overwhelmed with choice then I recommend you consider Career Teachers. After nine years of full time teaching I recently decided to take on casual supply work and signed up. In my experience so far the company is professional, efficient and run well. My consultants Matt and Josie are the real joy, they are excellent, both professional yet personable. I feel that I am listened to and accommodated. I have been offered plenty of work and am very happy with the agency.
I am a qualified teacher from Spain newly arrived in London and it is thanks to Career Teachers and its overseas programme that I am working since the very beginning. I was invited to an orientation session in which the manager explained us everything we needed to know about the UK education system. She was extremely nice and helpful. They also helped me to get my DBS and all the paperwork I need to work in London ready. The staff is really kind and they contact me regularly to check how everything is working for me. I can only recommend Career Teachers.

Absolutely fantastic Supply Agency to work for. Can't fault their professionalism. Josie was my consultant, who was fantastic from day 1 - always there to offer advise and support when needed. I can't recommend them highly enough! Registration was smooth and straight forward and the transition into Supply teaching was managed extremely well. Communication was always excellent. Being with Careerteachers for me means flexibility to be in new environments, meeting new people and making friends. The team are amazing they are warm, cheerful and always helpful. I mainly deal with three individuals, Wendy and Dean, (there are one of a kind) making sure that my placement fits my personality. Each day is always better than my last it s a breath of fresh air to really enjoy work each day. Recently I was placed outside of my comfort zone, it was a positive experience to make a difference in a child s education, thanks to Jeff. Great agency. I honestly recommend careers teachers, they are a professional agency and the staff are very helpful and caring. The manager is extremely sweet and helpful and the staff working alongside here are so caring. I remember there was a time where i was in such a stressful situation and i needed to get in contact with the manager but she was off site and the staff are careers teachers were so helpful and supportive, they actually tried contacting the manager. During the managers off day at work, she still managed to contact me and help me out, which i thought was so sweet. They are a professional agency and the pay is very good.

Great agency. Very professional. The team is pleasant and friendly and gets you work when and where you need it. They also offer free CPD training sessions.
Waste of your time. Arranged an interview with Helena, who postponed it last minute then cancelled the one after that. E-mailed them to ask what was happening with my interview, had no reply back. Very unprofessional.
I highly would not recommend this agency to anyone. Most of the consultants are highly unhelpful and most of all very patronizing. They also use their favorites candidates to work in the schools they locate them to than being fair to the rest of the candidates to get out there to work in schools.
I am delighted with my experience as a primary supply teacher working with Career. They bend over backward to find jobs that fit my preferences and availability. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I have always been given all the information I need in a prompt and friendly manner, and cancellations have been very rare, if any. A huge shout out to the great team there, especially Teresa.
Will say anything to get you to register (e.g; say they have lots of positions that fit job criteria/skills) but then you never hear from them again. No follow up and poor organisation during registration interview. Staff are more focused on going on their lunch break and passing people on to other colleagues than doing their job. Disappointing.

I am a qualified Primary Teacher in Greece (EEA) and came to London in January 2018 in order to work as Teacher. I contacted Career Teachers in November 2017 and Sinead Leavey, the relocation consultant, helped me from the very beginning and arranged everything for me, DBS (police check), Bank account, National Insurance number, collected my degrees and references, so when I came here I did my orientation day with their fantastic CPD trainer, Kate Bellavia, who was working as Primary Teacher for more than 25 years and can answer all your questions regarding teaching! She also runs training courses such as Phonics, Safeguarding, Positive Behaviour Management, English & Maths and many more that can really help all the Teachers! After my orienatation day, I started work the next day as supply Teaching Assistant, because being qualified abroad, I needed to get used with the UK system. Very quickly I started working as supply Teacher and I really like it! People in Career Teachers can really help you to fulfill your dream!!! Trust them!!!
I've been with them for more than two years now and can only say good things about Career Teachers. Besides sorting teaching jobs for me in my area, they also offer free professional development courses. All their staff are really friendly and they offer support anytime you need them. I work with them exclusively now, as they provide enough jobs for me during the year.
Its a shame that I saw negative reviews about career teachers its because of them as to why I choose to work with an agency. I have worked with Michelle Waller mainly and she's great always on the ball and helpful. if I could change anything it would be the pay, overall a good agency

I highly do not recmmend this agency. The staff ignores your enquieries and treats you with no respect. All they care about is clients, but they absolutely do not care about you or how you felt at school, did you like it at all, etc. And also, I've been sent to awful places.
I have been with Career Teachers since the start of February 2019 and have had consistent and enjoyable work. Claire Welch is my consultant and she has been so encouraging and helpful, especially as it is my first time working supply. She has excellent relationships with local schools and is a fantastic matchmaker. I am enjoying my time with this agency and have never had any issues with payment. They also run lots of brilliant training too. I went to other agencies which were nowhere near as knowledgable, professional and friendly. Career Teachers really does get to know you as a person and match you to work you will find fulfilling. Their ethos is to help good teachers into the right jobs for them and do the same for the school; they genuinely want to support the sector and help teachers to be happy in their work. I have been grateful for the opportunities and work they have given me. Definitely recommended!
I had a very bad experience with career teachers. At the beginning they were all super nice to me but later on they sent me to unprofessional or very remote schools and pressured me to take a job with them although I didn t want it. They unfairly questioned my abilities and ethics as a teacher. They cost me lots of stress and money to come to London and look for jobs with them. Avoid them, they don t listen to teachers, care only about their clients.
I was greeted with a nice welcome. However, when the line was switched over, the member of staff was extremely, extremely rude and unhelpful. We sat in silence over the phone - who even does that? I feel as though they do not care and thus would not recommend.
It's been lovely working with Career Teachers, the consultants are SO helpful and always provide a listening ear when I need one (a special thanks to Geoff Morris!!) I've recommended them to other teachers already! Keep up the amazing work!!

Not very helpful. And it feels like they ignore your enquirers, when i tell them what i want to do, instead I get sent to do something out of my comfort zone. I also think that they don't pay as much as most agency does, even if you working longer hours.

They are a professional team and certainly have high expectations of their employees. I also love the fact that there are so many CPD training sessions available. They are absolutely useless. Say they call and won't or place you in schools miles away with no regard for whether you want to be placed there. Consult any other teaching agency.
Do not recommend. They treat you with very little respect and concern for how you feel in the schools. They don t listen to what it is your looking for and send you to innapropriate placements and have lied about the age group i would be working with on several occasions despite clearly stating the key stage i am happy to work with. They have been rude on the phone and just outright unpleasant to work with.
Brill agency. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have listened to my preferences and always tried their best to support and accomedate me.

Supposed to have had a interview with 'Faria', she was extraordinarily rude and unprofessional because she was questioned about the necessity to duplicate Information. Made accusations about being "attacked?!?" Clearly not her field if she can't answer legitimate questions that prospective workers ask & takes them personally.Think she needs a customer service training/refresher course and Career teachers need to replace her as a point if contact.
