Camp Wyoming is a Christian summer camp and year-round retreat center located in Jones County, Iowa. Our vision is to offer transformative experiences to equip people of all ages for a journey of faith. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to grow in their relationship with God, and we strive to provide an environment where individuals can do just that.
Our History
Camp Wyoming was founded in 1960 by the Presbytery of Dubuque as a summer camp for children. Over the years, we have grown into a year-round retreat center that serves people of all ages. We are proud to be affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA), but we welcome people from all denominations.
Our Facilities
We have over 200 acres of beautiful wooded land that includes hiking trails, a lake for swimming and boating, an outdoor chapel, and several cabins for lodging. Our dining hall can accommodate up to 250 guests at once, making it perfect for large groups or events.
In addition to our outdoor facilities, we also have several indoor spaces available for use year-round. These include meeting rooms, classrooms, and sleeping quarters.
Our Programs
At Camp Wyoming, we offer a variety of programs designed to meet the needs of different age groups and interests. Our summer camp programs range from traditional overnight camps for children aged 5-17 to adventure camps focused on activities like rock climbing or canoeing.
We also offer family camps where parents can come with their children and experience everything Camp Wyoming has to offer together. For adults looking for spiritual growth opportunities outside of traditional church settings, we host retreats throughout the year on topics like prayer or Bible study.
