Island Lake Camp is an incredible place! My girls have made amazing friendships, and have learned such valuable life lessons that have made them so much more independent, confident and happy! There is so much to do at Island Lake! Campers can create their own daily schedule based on activities they love as well as new adventures to try! Wendy and Matt, and the entire staff, are close with their campers and are tireless advocates for their fun and well-being. I can t imagine a warmer, safer and more fun summer camp environment. We re so lucky to have found Island Lake and it to call it our second home!

Island Lake Camp is the absolute best sleep away camp there is! The staff is unbelievably professional (especially Wendy Stravitz). My daughter has had the best experience of her life at Island Lake. Camp helped her become independent, confident and gain interpersonal skills that are lost on today's youth. The facility is clean, the activities current and the staff is knowledgable and professional. Beyond a shadow of a doubt I give this camp 5 plus *'s!

Both of my kids went to Island Lake for years and years and loved every second of camp. In fact they refer to it as their home away from home. All of the counselors, specialists and staff are easily accessible and responsive to each child s needs. Wendy is absolutely amazing!! She is energetic, nurturing and an absolute asset at the camp. My kids always looked at her as their camp mom . The Stoltz family provided a loving and fun environment. My kids would start their countdown to return to camp the day they would come home. The ability for kids to choose their own schedule was tremendous in creating kids who feel confident in making independent decisions. I can t say enough great things about Island Lake!!

Amazing summer camp with individual camp activities for the kids.
They choose 3 Majors as their main activities which they will do every day.
The choose 3 new Minors everyday and they can do whatever activity they want to do.

My son had an amazing experience at Island Lake! He had a ton of fun, made lifelong friends from all over the world, learned new skills and hobbies, and gained independence and confidence. He can t wait to go back next summer! My son loves it here. Probably the best run camp in the USA! Very unique program they have that offers everything from the arts to sports. The kids pick their majors and minors. I highly recommend this camp. Contact Matt or Wendy for a tour.

I was a counselor here for 10 years and am now an Assistant Superintendent. I consider this the best camp experience possible. They offer so much choice for each camper. The owners were way ahead of their time with understanding that structured independence is what children crave. I would recommend this camp to any family. The facilities are top notch!
