Cafe Esplanad & Succes

It is one of my favorite places in Helsinki, especially for its buns, my favorite is Toscaviineri (bun with almonds and chocolate) It is not a cheap place but not too expensive to be located in Pohjois Esplanadi. Many people go there to eat the korvapuusti (cinnamon buns) that are huge and quite good. Finnish coffee is not bad and can be repeated for free. There is also cappuccino, latte, etc. although they are quite slow when serving and queues are made.

Generous portions, good desserts and great atmosphere.

Beautiful and elegant cafe. It was very crowded on my day of visit but service was fast and efficient. It has quite a selection of quick bites, beverages and cakes.

Coffee good. The cafe glass should have loose cardboard to protect your fingers, the more hot the sump was.

I was drinking coffee with my family, and then somebody entered with dog. Dog was barking and irritated me and people around. Dogs should be restricted!

Not enough staff. All variety's of filtered coffee ran out at same time. But pastries are fabulous. Salads, soups and sandwiches also avsilable

He is sweet, he has shahi, hala and coffees, he has toilets, and the laundry is inside the bathroom

A decent selection of the Finnish capital, regarding coffee, breakfast, brunch or light drinks. Importan tip: self service mostly.

Nice cafe for a wonderful stop or interrupt your city walk

A popular cafe with a good selection of teas, coffees, sandwiches, salads and pastries. They have expanded a lot, so that when we went it didn't feel crowded.

Bit confusing about what to do but we got there in the end. 1 Barista could have spent more time making coffees rather than socialising on a busy morning.

It is not possible to socialize in larger groups here. High sound level and small tables in clearly separated groups. No further coffee and tasteless buns.

A cozy cafe. Opens early. In the morning there are few people, a delicious breakfast at a normal price.

Just today I received a food poisoning salad from that place. I do not recommend. Nor did they offer any compensation for food poisoning.

Ok old cafe in the heart, was once more special but the level of cafes in Helsinki has risen and caught on.

The typical salmon soup, sweets and snacks, very rich

IMO one of the best cafes in Helsinki. Not so much for the coffee but overall atmosphere. Looks and feels classy. Also decent and affordable lunch (~10 ). Often crowded.

Very nice but high prices. Not much choice in gluten free cakes.

The classic Helsinki cafe Retro. Only good for a certain ambience.

We went around 6pm today, would have ordered some salt / salad with coffee, the stuffed breads at the end and the serving of the salad wasn't appealing, the cafe still open for 4 hours and the salty serving is over ?!
The image was of a higher quality than the cafe esplanade than it really was.

When there are many clients, it also has to be queued for quite a long time and it is difficult to find a seat for eg two people. A nice place when there is space and there are not too many customers.

An atmospheric place in the middle of Helsinki. I am very critical with respect and a good bun bun here and puustit and Wiener are tasty, soft, not too sugary or greasy, but the composition is just right. So I love earmuffs and here the puffs are big! The service is uncomplicated and the decor is wonderfully old fashioned and European.

But too busy for my liking. Nice buns, nice coffee, and nice service though.

I bought a cinnamon roll. It is big and satisfying to eat. The price is reasonable compared to other stores. It is the image of a high-end fashionable cafe.

Nice coffee place, many varieties of food. Quite many tables and chairs to sit and enjoy food and coffee.

Popped in for lunch, had nice traditional salmon soup. Lots of cakes available too but was too full

Prices are at the extreme. Tables filled with dirty dishes. A delicious breakfast.

For what first seems like a tourist trap this place is busy but has reasonably quality food and drinks

I entered without any prior knowledge. The inside of the store was large and the outside scenery was wonderful and very good. There are a lot of sweets and they are moving. I ordered England out of several mornings, but I felt it was a little small.
I entered this shop with no preliminary information.It was spacious and had a good scenery.I lost to choose foods as it had a lot of sweets.i ordered the morning set "England" of some kinds of sets, but I was afraid the amount was less.

One of the best places to visit for a coffee and pulla

Great coffee with refills (regular hot coffee only). Good selection of lunch items and sweets. Slightly on the expensive side. Usually full at lunch time.

A must-go in one of the most beautiful areas in Helsinki. Cosy atmosphere, multilingual staff and delicious, fresh bakery.
Thumbs up: The classic Korvapuusti (Cinammon roll) sold for a decent price according to its size and great taste.
Thumbs down: At times, single queues feeding only one cashier who also acts as attendant.

Good coffee and a selection of pastries. Also good rolls.

A big disappointment for the children was not found limp.

The best cinnamon bun (korvapuusti) in Helsinki, perhaps Finland, not to mention great service, old world ambiance, friendly and professional staff, super-convenient location and gourmet coffee from responsibly sourced beans that are roasted in house! Who could ask for anything more!

Three different coffee qualities, can sants how much you want. Super big pastries, eat even two equal. Good environment.

The most favorite cafe in Helsinki. It is very tasty salmon fish soup. And branded buns poured with chocolate. All portions are huge. You can eat at once. Although the price is also high. The soup is worth 13 euros. Although it is worth it and each time it is a little different in taste. Also in the cafe you can pour water any number without limitation. You can also buy a salad and choose any ingredients, for example goat cheese is very good, price for weight. There are more options for coffee. Prices for coffee also grew over 3 years.

Nice location in front of the park. The Cinnamon roll is huge and a must. Good coffee too.

Vanilla was forgotten from the filling of the vanilla-raspberry wiener. The yellow, just a little sweeter filling on top of the bun dough is surprisingly disgusting.

The range of lactose-free products is poor. Only giant owls. No good cake to mention about the pastries. Something small and good.

Good terrace and range! It is a pity that hot fillings are not available in the salad.
