Brooklyn Workforce Innovations (BWI) is a non-profit organization that has been serving the Brooklyn community since 2000. BWI's mission is to help New Yorkers with significant barriers to employment access training, job placement, and career development support. The organization offers a range of programs and services designed to empower individuals with the skills and resources they need to succeed in today's competitive job market.
BWI's flagship program is the Brooklyn Networks IT training program, which provides low-income residents of Brooklyn with free training in computer networking and IT support. The program includes classroom instruction, hands-on lab work, and real-world experience through internships with local employers. Graduates of the program are prepared for entry-level positions in the IT industry, such as help desk technician or network administrator.
In addition to its IT training program, BWI offers several other workforce development programs that cater to different industries and skill levels. These include:
