Brooklyn Botanic Garden

To be honest about this place is very nice. They have nice, and beautiful plants, and flowers. It is very interesting place. You guys should go, and see this beautiful place.

This is a beautiful and well maintained garden in the heart of New York, viz, Brooklyn. So vast, spread over many acres, this garden gives a lot of study material to all and sundry.

I visited the Brooklyn Botanic Garden for the second time during the peak of the Cherry Blossoms in early May 2019. Highly recommend visiting during this time of the year. It was absolutely gorgeous! The website has a map that let's you know what stage the cherry blossoms are blooming at. The entrance fee is $15, but you can also do a combo pack admission with the Brooklyn Museum, which is located next door, unless there's a special exhibit. It's a good size garden, so not too overwhelming. Expect to spend about 1-2 hours just walking around. The Japanese Hill and Pond Garden and Lily Pool Terrace is really pretty too.

Nice garden, the conservatory spaces were really nice with a large range of plants, and the bonsai collection was impressive

Such a disappointment. Visited the garden today with my family, 95% of the garden was closed and we were still charged full price. There was nothing to see. I should have warm the others waiting on line to buy tickets. They should have been a sign that says the garden was under construction and it s basically closed. Refund please!

Very beautiful gardens. I wouldn't go during the Sakura matsuri festival again, but definitely on a less busy day. All if the plants and the layout of the gardens are very beautiful.

Was here for a wedding and surprised by how pretty it was. It's a nice place to get out for a few hours casually. If you're here for a wedding, same day admission is free so take advantage of that.

The perfect walk in the heart of Brooklyn. There are a number of ecosystems in this garden. If you go Friday morning before 11 admission is free.

If you're interested in seeing nature close by you should definitely visit it, it's really good if you want to bring children have a schedule where you can take children to learn about the different plants

Always amazing. So peaceful. Wonderful staff. And always inviting. Plus you meet some of the best tourists and locals. I could live here. Thank goodness I'm just down the street.

Incredible varieties of species. Very close to Smorgasburg and the zoo.

With the scarce vegetation of winter, it has its charm. In the spring it will be dreamed !!

The Japanese Gardens are beautiful. The gift shop is great. The food here is good. This is such an educational place. I have fun here.

Brooklyn Botanical Garden is an absolutely brilliant way to spend a day in New York. We went here in winter when almost all the plants have dried out and it was still wonderful. The greenhouses are a must visit here. The Japanese garden is also epic in winter as the pond freezes over. The highlight is definitely the Bonsai exhibits. I can't wait to get back here in spring to see the cherry blossoms and the livelier gardens.

Only time to go thete is in spring time any other time is a bore

Beautiful garden in the middle of the urban jungle that is Brooklyn. Fantastic for families and enthusiasts of all ages. A lovely picnic can be enjoyed on Tuesdays where it's FREE admission; however, crowds can be a bit intimidating in size, but one can find a shady nook or bask under the sun in one of their beautifully manicured lawns!

I visited during the September of the Pandemic. Some things are closed, but the major attractions are open. Beautiful park to spend a nice cool day with loved ones

Go during the Japanese cherry blossom festival in the spring

This is a gorgeous botanical garden! It has beautiful buildings, a place to eat with vegetarian options and is ver clean and well maintained. There are amazing plant arrangements and many awesome plants. There is a popcorn plant, and yes it smells like popcorn. There is also a plant that smells like cocoa. There are many butterflies that are attracted to the plants. All in all it is a beautiful, relaxing place to stroll!

What we saw before I started to rain was very nice.

I love this place. If you're looking to get away from the city and experience nature but don't have the means to travel far, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a great alternative.

We love going here especially on weekdays when it's not too crowded. We visit pre, during and post-cherry blossom season. It's nice to see the changes of the sakura trees. Our favorites include wisteria flowers, the indoor bonsai display and the Japanese pond among others. The cafeteria has limited food but we usually bring our own food anyway and just get drinks here. Unfortunately, you can't have picnics.

Love the Japanese garden and cherry trees. Check the blooming schedule before you go in case there is anything in particular you would like to see.

Lots to explore! Just be aware of what days to go since not everything blooms together. They also have a discovery garden that is more interactive.

I m sure it s much more fantastic in the warm months when all is in bloom; but still a tranquil and peaceful place to walk about and enjoy 5he grounds. The indoor spaces are gorgeous too, don t miss the bonsais. I ll be back in spring. Loved it here.

Too much construction going on at the same time, can not lay down on the lawn with a blanket without the security telling you to move, only allowed on Wednesday evening when there is events. I purchased two memberships for a $100, and the Botanical wants you to come in and keep it moving unless its Wednesday evening where they can make extra money with the concession stand. Membership is not worth it

Such a wonderful escape from the city. At times, you feel like you are hiking in the woods. What a treasure of a feeling in the crowded hustle and bustle of NYC!

Absolutely stunning walk-around garden, although slightly out of the way if do not live in Brooklyn. I highly recommend going during the cherry blossom festival to see all of the performances and beautiful women in yukata/kimonos. The price for food and items at the gift shop is unnecessarily expensive, but if you bring a picnic lunch, you could have a truly visual enriching, inexpensive day.

Just lovely. It's a botanical garden, spring time when everything is blooming. Easy to get to from Manhattan, fast/easy entrance set up, cozy indoor space. Had to leave half hour early due to a wedding event held in the indoor auditorium. Will go again soon.
