The Brighton District Library is doing great things for the community, including check out Books, CDs, DVD s free wi-fi, use of computers, meeting rooms, kids activity rooms, a garden for kids and adults. Currently, they have started something they call as library of Things- various electronic & hands on items for kids and adults e.g. a thermal leak tester.
Lots of new toys!! A very nice and friendly staff, as well.

I like to add a recent review to Brighton District Library: I used the Printer scanner, copying machine- which is perhaps a typical Multi- functional machine found at many Offices, libraries etc. This machine functions so well: I took some old Color pictures, from home- to enlarge, to keepsakes- I was totally pleasantly surprised, by the quality of it - Jennifer (Jen) at the reference desk helped me, with it ( $0.50 was a such a small price to pay). These BDL professionals are really good at their jobs & generous with helping the community. Thank you!
I also used the machine to Scan some documents, another time. Sarah Neidert, who is the EXPERT at all things IT, hardware, software- she showed me how to scan these documents, on to my flash drive ( to upload, on to any online communications), on this same machine- for free! This is yet another Free service the Library provides for its patrons! Than you, so very much. I am grateful, that we all have access to such a facility.

I've been going there for as long as I can remember. It is a great place for kids, teens and adults. The library holds many different events and has a great selection of books, movies, CDs, magizines, etc. They have computers available to the public. If you want to be outside in a quite place they have a beautiful garden. If you haven't been there definitely go take a look. Only issue I have with they is that they just redid the reading room and turned it into an office and took down the castle entrance to the kids room and they moved the DVDs to the other side of the library and it doesn't feel right. So some changes I don't like but that said still a wonderful library.

Good children's area. Only issues are it's always noisy, even in a solitary study room you hear the entire library due to their vent system. And a lot of people that seem to have mental illness or are perhaps homeless are often just resting on many of the couches. :[
