It was the first time pain free. Awkward yes but breast treated respectfully and not turned into pancakes. Radiographer friendly and fun. Quick and easy

Don't put off having your scans ladies. You're worth far more to your friends, families & associates than the inconvenience of having to go

Wonderful and amazing people, who will assure and comfort you at a time of great stress. Please don't put off your tests, I know it's scary, but the Breast screen Doctors and Nurses are brilliant at their work and the facility works like a well oiled machine.

The address in the web is wrong. It s very difficult to find out the right address as there s no information coming and noone answers the phone. Also the times shown in the web are wrong. The person who booked my appointment on the phone (after I sent emails complaining that I couldn t make the appointment) said appointments are on from 8am not 7:30 as per the website.

When I arrived at Herbert street for my appointment I found out that 13 Herbert st was not the right address. I called the centre but, as previously, there s no one answer. I felt I had to ask in the street or miss my appointment. I felt embarrassed and humiliated to have to walk in the streets asking where s the breastcancer screen unit? Do you work around here? Do you know where is the breast cancer screen unit? ...

Then when I communicated the problem to the receptionist, she brushed it off, gave a number of irrelevant excuses how it was all my fault and tries to explain..

...but there s nothing to explain and no need to apologise either. They must update their details on the web or at least send the address in the text message reminder so to avoid making the breast screen a very stressful and humiliating occasion.

As I left the centre I saw the 2 receptionist chatting away in a relax manner. Nothing to do. No updating to take care of.

On the whole an stressful and humiliating experience.

I took my mum to her first breast cancer screening In Sydney. Arrived at the clinic 20 minutes early (8:30 appointment), the receptionist (Marianne) told us we need to rebook as I was not allowed to be the interpreter for my mum and we need to request a interpreter. I was confused by this requirement because I checked every fine print on the website and there was no mention of next of kin can t be the interpreter or it s compulsory to request a certified interpreter for the first screening session. The receptionist was extremely rude during the conversation, pointing her pen at me whenever she was talking to me. She hurried us on the side and said she needed to look after the other 2 ladies behind us while it was not 8:30 yet and the first appointment was our appointment. I went away and spent 30 minutes checking the website looking for this rule and I couldn t find it. I went back again and asked her if she could show me where does it say on the website that next of kin cant t be the interpreter and we must request an interpreter. She said she was busy and if I kept asking her questions, she would call security and get me removed from the clinic.

Exceptional team, caring and compassionate. I came in tears and left with smile on my face... thank you Christine, Beverly and Josh!

Just the usual 2 yearly check, Great people, very caring.
