everybody was great here except for the woman that was assigned mycase who just yelled and screamed at me and then told me why don't I go get help from the Department of mental Health and I never wanted to come back because she made me feel so victimized and everything was my fault type of person! I'm hoping that one day she will get fired from here because she's definitely one of those types of people that intentionally treat you badly so she doesn't have to do her job! she makes you feel so horrible and she yells and screams at you and then calls so you will never come back!

I fully support this amazing haven of kind, caring souls. They are incredible people and I hope you'll consider donating to this small, but mighty place....and generally supporting them in any way you can. You can contact them on their website....they can use all the help they can get! Although this is an uncomfortable issue to openly discuss, these folks handle victims with grace and genuine, loving care. Thank you BARCC for all you do!

In all honesty it took me months to be able to call and make an appointment to get some help. I was told to call if my trauma became too much to handle on my own. Was hopeful that I was finally going to process and sort some things and obtain a normal life. I was told after intake that I would be better with a provider outside of Barcc because of my history with drinking. I cannot go to an outside provider due to insurance and finances. To anyone going to get services at BARCC, please be careful not to divulge too much information, even if it is coping mechanisms/struggles you face because of your trauma. I finally felt I was going to speak and process what happened to me and was excited about the hope of feeling better and managing symptoms. Feeling pretty horrible, empty and helpless at this point.
The staff I did meet with was very nice and I understand the decision not to connect me with further help through Barcc was not soley her decision. I am writing this review only so that someone contemplating getting services can be mindful to keep their information to a minimum so that they can actually receive help and not have this experience.

I called for help in July. Becca is the one who told me We can help you with housing and to find a therapist. . And I believed her. Now it s November and I will be homeless in 7 days. BARCC did absolutely nothing. I called 3 times within the last 2 1/2 weeks and only received a call back today. The worker said she got my message LAST WEEK. For an organization that has the word CRIIS in its title should think about the length of time they take to return a call from someone in crisis. And yet they returned my call and having someone else call me. The only reason I m now getting a call is because of the negative review I write on BARCCs fb page. Write a negative review and that s when BARCC will decide to return your call. Then they will keep passing you around to other workers and you never end up getting the help they advertise.
So now I m wait once again for BARCC to help me. Wonder how long the wait will be this time?
Oh but don t forget, if you write a negative review they will get in contact with you within a a day.
Remember this. Write a poor review and then they will want to help you
