Love the Staff & Management. They're all customer oriented. I had a question about sulfites & the head Vintner came out and answered all my questions..
Never been disappointed by their wines either. Became a member that day :-)

Pretty setting. Good wine for a good price. Tasting prices are very reasonable. A nice alternative to the more famous yet more pricey Nappa Valley.
My wife and I have been members of the winery for about three years. The wines are consistently excellent, the winery grounds and tasting room are cozy and welcoming, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. This is a hidden gem in the foothills, and I highly suggest you check Boeger out! You won't be disappointed.
Great setting and tasting room. The quality of wine across the board and the price value can't be beat. I am so happy I discovered Boeger Winery before I left California. I joined the Barbarians (Wine Club) before I left, thank goodness.
Beautiful views, especially in the late Fall! Friendly service and four healthy pours of wine for just $10.
I see the appeal of stopping here. They have a cool pond, antiques around, a fire brick oven, misters, and large picnic tables.
So of the clients do not like if you bring your children. It is a weird dynamic of families and angry people who don't want to see children.
The wines are just okay.
I think most come for ambience.
Very busy on weekends especially during fall season.
Lovely setting, great service and excellent wines!
Excellent choice of prize winning wines. If tasting cheese along wines, will have to go to a separate bar.
First and last time at Boeger for my family and I. We decided to stop by on 10-22-17 for a wine tasting and to purchase a few bottles. We are very familier with the wine but have never had the chance to visit. We elected to purchase the upgraded reserve tastings and eagerly awaited our first pour. this is where the problems started... The tasting bottles all contained a 1oz pour stopper , having experience in the restaurant industry I am familiar with these devices and have no problem when they are utilized properly. The issue I had with this situation is the bartenders did not wait for the full pour, she would continually fill 2 glasses without resetting the stopper , resulting in a 1/2 oz pour per glass. We attempted to bring this up but were quickly assured, and very rudely I might add, that it was an accurate 1oz pour and that other wineries are too liberal with their pours resulting in Boegers appearing smaller...Our experience further declined as we felt black balled by the staff who offered little to no explanations about the wine they were pouring after we raised our previous concerns. Due to this and the fact we could not accurately taste the wine we did not purchase any additional items as was our intention. Needless to say we are very dissappointed with the experience and will avoid this product in the future. With so much competition in the local area and Napa being a short trip away I will be bringing my business to wineries who value their product and its patrons.
Wonderful scenery and wine but getting service here is a little hard or slow during their busier days.
Knowledgeable staff, delicious varietals, and a beautiful property. What's not to like?
We love Boeger...great staff, very knowledgeable, and friendly
Very good wine and a great atmosphere. I regularly take trips with and without the family to enjoy tasting, scenery, and often great conversation.
Beautiful grounds we went for the summer concert, nice tasting room with very friendly staff, their wine is very tasty and reasonably priced, we'll definitely be going back.
Amazing beautiful location! Friendly staff, tasty wine. Super chill vibes and plenty of space. Had my bridal shower here and couldn't have been happier! Can't wait to come back for some more good times
Another great interaction w/ Boeger Winery
This time w/ Tara. Wanted to send wines to family members out of state and she made it simple and fast ... They are going to have a very merry Christmas ... Thanks, Tara!
And from last week - Another wonderful Tour with Alison! This has become our "Go To" event when friends and family visit with out here in Gold-rush country ...
Love this winery. Very good wines , reasonable prices, & a great wine club. The tasting room is always a pleasant experience. What's not to like?
Place was ! We brought our kid and they were happy to see him. They all said hi to him and seamed to be happy we were there. I recommend this winery for casual drinking.
With the exception of it being chaotic when we go, O love it
Grab an easy meal, grab a bottle of wine and just be. Trist me..you need it.
This was a great place to wine taste during a pandemic! All the tables were well spaced. We enjoyed a flight of four wines for $10.00. We also enjoyed crackers, cheese, chocolate cookies and glazed pecans purchased from the store on site.
Good wine, great prices, beautiful grounds. Would highly recommend it especially on Tuesday, 2 for 1 wine tasting.
Warning do not go here if you have colored skin. Here s my story
Went here for the weekend with my partner.
The people working took 1 look at us, said nothing, no acknowledgement of existence.
Had 1 lady ask us (after we have been standing around for 10 minutes) are you here for tasting (WHAT? Tasting at a wine vineyard? Nooo not at all *Eyeroll)
After arriving she made us pay for the tasting up front, (I have never heard of paying for a service) before actually receiving the service which now I regret because after being neglected (she was off talking to her co-workers and I am assuming a few friends who came to visit) and just having wine poured with no explanation or notes on the wine we left. I think we managed to go thru 3 tastings that took in total 20 minutes before we just walked out.
The wine however is sub par: not the greatest just average.
We went here with some local friends. They have music on some Friday evenings and the music was outstanding. The wine is absolutely wonderful, and the crowd is friendly and appreciative of both the music and those around them. The setting is so relaxing. We had traveled from NYC and to just have a pleasant place to enjoy some good wine, in a fantastic setting, with some old and new friends started our trip off on the right foot.
Great outside setting for tasting wine. Aderondeck chairs around the pond in the shade make it very relaxing.
We love this place. We have been club members (BARBERIANS 4 Life!) for over two years and we love the vibe at the winery. The staff are amazing and down to earth, no snobby wine folks here. Just great wine, great service and great value.
Lovely, cozy little winery with great ambience throughout. Good selection of wines in the tasting room served by very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
So beautiful outside. We had the wine tasting and I was not impressed with their wine. I would not be coming back. But the pictures outside are amazing.
A place of artistry, grace, and ease. Don't tell too many people of it.
I first visited here in 1999, before they had the new tasting room. I fell in love with it then, but no one back east knew who I was talking about. I recently got to visit again and was once again amazed, not just by their wonderful selection of wines, but with how beautiful their grounds are. I left with a case (plus) and a promise to myself not to let it go so long between visits.
Been a club member here for over 20 years. Love the wine and tasting room staff.
Super crowded. We tried to get the bartender's attention for about 10 minutes before we decided to give up and leave.
Meritage is wonderful! Very friendly staff. Must try their Barbera. Nice combination of Spanish and Italian grapes and blends.
Beautiful location and Yvonne is always happy and helpful!
Beautiful facility. Good location with plenty of appealing seating options. 2016 Cabernet Franc is a full body red wine that goes down easy.
This is a great winery to visit and try the wine. $20 gets you a wine glass of your choice and 8 wines to taste.
Really cute winery and vineyard tucked away on Apple Hill! Good picnic spot as well.
Six tastings for five bucks. The real extra is the hilly landscape: you can either buy something there (e.g. some very fancy Spanish chips) or bring food with you and have it outside.
Beautiful setting. Love visiting this vineyard. By far, my most favorite.
Excellent wine at a good value. Dog and family friendly.
After living in Elk Grove for over 17 years , we were in the market to find our forever home. We found a beautiful home here in Cameron Park and after settling it was a must to find a family-friendly winery near our home. We have to say this is the most beautiful place, to have a picnic unwind and relax or dance the night the away in the summer when they host Sunset Sippin on Fridays. Thank you, Boeger, for welcoming my family with open arms.

Great staff and great wine! A must for anyone on Apple Hill
What a fun spot to visit! My friends and I stopped here on a road trip and everyone was so nice. The employees really made us feel welcomed and were very helpful and polite to some new-by wine drinkers. They have beautiful places to sit outside and enjoy some wine. Highly recommend stopping by even if it's just for a short time!
Beautiful tasting area! Fantastic scenery...fantastic wine ! We will be back!
One of the prettiest and most laid back wineries I have ever been to! Not only was the wine delicious, but the scenery was breathtaking. I can't wait until we visit again!
Boeger is a perfect way to spend a summer day out of the Sacramento heat. The grounds are beautiful, the wines are exceptional and service is on point and inviting. Definitely recommend!
Placerville is ridiculously underrated for its great wineries. Of the many great ones up here - Boeger stands head and shoulders above the rest. Great setting, great staff, great tasting room, phenomenal vino. It's become a must-visit for us on each trip to the region!
Wonderful Winery great atmosphere and even better wines
Always love to stop here after a visit to placerville and get a bottle and sit outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery
Great family winery. Fantastic wines. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Must stop by and sample if you are in the area or planning a trip.
The place is beautiful and we were so excited about it. Sadly their customer service was so bad. We were asked to move or leave after 10 mins we finally got our wine. If you are not fancy or white enough you will treated differently from the rest of the people. I was not impressed with their wine at all either. Definitely not going back.
I have had some of their wine sent to me as s gift and it was outstanding I have bought wine their as D gift for a friend and they enjoyed it
This is a must in Placerville! Cute place built in 1872 with nice surroundings. Great wine and staff! Ask for Laura!
Nice winery. Delicious wine. Much better prices for the quality than the Napa wineries.
My wife and I visited the Boeger Winery today. I had read up on it a little and it seemed nice. We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful our day would be. Great drive out from Nevada City, beautiful location, pleaseant employees, wine was excellent, and what a Beautiful outdoor patio/picnic area. Their professionalism in regards to Cov-19 didn't go unnoticed.....Great job!
We give you an Excellent!! rating.
Thank you for a wonderful time..... We look forward to returning with my sons and their wifes.
The people here are very friendly. Tasting isn't free, but the $5 fee seems typical of the area.
Wow! This winery is sooooo beautiful! This is a must visit in Apple Hill! They have a beautiful drive into the winery and when you pull up and park, you are surrounded by beautiful vineyards, trees, a pond, market lights, it really is a More
Inexpensive tasting, lovely staff and setting. Variety of outdoor seating. Kid-friendly outdoor spaces. Enjoyed our first visit. Dog friendly!
Nice place to sit and drink some wine under the trees
Gorgeous grounds. Great wine. Reasonably priced. What more could you want.
Friendly staff! Extremely good tasting experience, and fresh figs off the path. The wine is outstanding. I would highly recommend a wine club with this winery.
Beautiful atmosphere, lovely wine. The person hosting the tasting was really busy and stressed out, and frankly, really rude - but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it's not always like that. I'll have to give it another shot soon because I really enjoyed the wine, but was disappointed because my friends had never been to a wine tasting before, and I promised them it wasn't usually so awkward/stressful.
Love the scenery. They are always friendly and informative about their wines.
On some weekends they have festivities beyond wine tasting, cheese tasting, food truck, live music, just a delight! Love the white Pino. The Hangtown gold, although a bit sweet is super smooth and quite enjoyable on a hot summer day.
Visit, you won't be sorry!
Overall this is a great place. The wine is fantastic and the location is beautiful. The service can be very slow on busy days.
We love this place! Quiet afternoons with beautiful scenery. Variety of wines paired up with cheeses and olives is one way to spend your weekend.
Beautiful location! Very friendly staff! Delicious wine! Highly recommend visiting!
Lovely ambience. Peaceful. Great for picnic. Good wine, my favorite is Barbera.
Mediocre wine with terrible service. They didn t pour in a timely manner and then rushed us to finish with 5 minutes notice (and four wines left to taste). Also zero wine discussion. Doubt I would go back even if it was free.
Fantastic wine in a beautiful, family friendly, setting.
Beautiful location and some the best wines in the state of California
Boeger is a once great winery that has gone downhill. My first few tastings there years ago were very enjoyable, the wines delicious, and the staff friendly and informative about its wines. In recent years however, I have had bad experiences with its customer service and feel that its wines are average at best. The last three times I visited the winery I turned around and walked out because of the poor customer service. The winery that was a longstanding "must stop" winery for me has now been crossed off my winery list. What a shame.
Super friendly staff, very good wines, always enjoy visiting there! Thank you Julie and others!
This was once a regular stop for my wife and I. Our last visit we discovered they now charge a tasting fee per person, but were told it could be applied to a wine purchase if we chose to buy a bottle of wine. They made us pay upfront and immediately before anything was poured. We were strictly limited to only 6 tiny tastings and they were poured into tiny glasses. Seriously, not even enough to get a good taste of the wine. They counted the tastings as if they were gold. They never spent any time explaining or discussing the wines. We decided to cut some of our loses of our tasting fees by purchasing a bottle of wine. Upon payment we were credited for only ONE tasting, not the two we paid for in advance and were told "only one credit per purchase". Sneaky! With so many better wineries in the Apple Hill area that offer free tasting, nicer people and better wines, there is no need to pay fees and be swindled. My wife and I, and our friends will never go back.
My Personal Favorite winery, also my wife's its right around the corner from our house and a place I pass everyday on my training rides. Its a great place to have a picnic and enjoys some of el dorado county's best wine!
Been twice to thier Friday music concerts. Nice grassy area to sit. Dogs and kids enjoy the open air. Most of the sitting areas are tree shaded. Many people bring food but pizza was available one time and food truck the next time. Wine by bottle available at $20+. Cost is $10 per car. Limited parking. Concert starts at 6 - we have found parking at 5:20.
